Bette lent across and kissed Tina on the mouth.
“I love you honey “
“No – its okay “ Tina was trying to pout but was laughing at Bette
“Cool down “ Shane ordered removing the tray from Bette “ I am taking this away from you because you are not playing nice Bette”
“Oh ! “
Bette started to objected but Shane pushed a Jaffa cake in her mouth as she took the tray and covered it up again.
“Are we going to wait for Kit and Angus ? “ Alice asked
“We can start and see if we hear from them “ Lara suggested
“Kit hates heavy storms like this – it was the only thing I know she is afraid of – if its really bad she won’t want to come out “ Bette explained.
“We’ll wait “ Alice said “Lets all tuck into the food and talk for another half an hour or so “
In five minutes everyone had plates of food and were sitting around in a circle of the chairs and sofas .
“So Kit’s scared of storms – wouldn’t have put her down for that “ Helena commented
“Its got something to do with when she was in high school – she won’t talk about it”
Bette said
“What are you afraid of Helena ? “ Tina asked
“Apart from Peggy “ Alice joked
Helena looked at Alice “ I am scared of turning into my mother — yes “
“shit “ Alice said“ Sorry Helena “
“Its okay “
“I understand that – I used to wake up in a cold sweat worrying about turning into Melvin”
“You would never turn into Melvin babe – you have too many people who love you and you have so much love inside of you “ Tina reassured
“Okay – lets keep this light for now – deep psychological revelations later on “ Shane declared “ I am deeply and I mean this deeply freaked out by butterflies “

oh damn ‘contractions two minutes apart’!..that is close she should be at the hospital by now :P Tina will panick for sure! so..she will have the baby at home or car or hospital ?? The weather wont help either. I cant wait for next chapter.
LOL…such a bad timing for Tina…hopefully storm won’t prevent Bette from having a healthy baby

Hm, seems Tina’s timing is a little off.
They could just cover up one of Helena’s couches and Bette could give birth country style like my great-grandmother did. lol
LOL, I love you but I’m about to drop our son. I hope that B&T make it to the hospital on time. I am sure that Helena owns a Range Rover, they are pretty much tanks and can make it thru anything. After Tina’s miscarriage, I don’t think either one of them can make it through a home birth during a storm.
You ARE the Drama Queen. No doubt about it. Please no problems w/the baby.
AllyE, don’t let anything happen in the storm, okay. Let the birth be successful with both mother and child okay. Love the story but, please go mild on the drama.
Talk about dropping a bombshell. I hope Tina doesn’t feel upstaged, even though I’m sure she understands Bette wasn’t trying to top her. (What pun?) Poor Bette may have to do without the hospital she so desperately craves.

OMG Ally, I hope Bette and the baby will be okay. I loved the part about them each telling about their fears. Total riot about Tina being freaked out by Mickey Mouse, because even my granddaughter isn’t afraid of him and she is only 14 months old. Please don’t make us wait to long to find out what happens with Bette having the baby. You really know how to leave your readers hanging. And just so you know–even though you used a certain phrase in this chapter–you are not going to get me to ever say it again–so there! LOL!!!

Poor Tina she just poored her heart out and Bette says but. I can’t wait to see how Bette handles child birth process. I guess Tina realizes that Bette was not turning her down but was in serious pain.
