    “But…”

    “Shut up! I am in charge here, Rookie! you better follow your order or I will report you and kick you out of FBI, do you copy?”

    James wanted to protest, but he held back her anger, fighting with his elder teammate was no help for this poor little girl.

    “Yes, sir…” James said with his jaws clenching. “I will interrogate her with standard criminal procedure, you don’t need to waste another bullet on her, I will handle it well.”

    “You better.” Kornbluth said with a smirk. “Now step aside, I’ll show you how we teach this bastard a lesson.”

    James hesitated, but slowly step away, revealed the small shivering body behind him.

    Kornbluth made a contempt humph, without any warning, he raised his boot and kicked hard right on to the little girl.

    He kicked and kicked, aiming the girls’ stomach, face, and body, again and again. He skillfully avoided the vital part, all his attacked hit on the places that would only harm but not serious enough to kill her, preventing this girl died from his violent.

    The little girl screamed in pain, begging him to stop, she said please and please again, but the elder man showed no mercy, and didn’t stop for a bit. James brows narrow to a line, he shot his eyes, unable to look at this scene.

    An agent walked to them, he calmly watched his boss kicking the little girl, with no facial appearance, he patiently waiting for him to finish his entertainment, ignored James who’s standing aside with a pale but angry face.

    Yes, this girl deserved this. Except for James, all the agent in the FBI thought of it.

    Over six people died, tons of people’s family been destroyed by the illegal drugs, numbers of girls lost their freedom by being kidnaped and forced to be a prostitute, uncountable people lost all their money scammed by a simple phone call…All of these, were caused by her parents, and now one of them died cheaply, the other escaped, everyone in the force transferred their anger to the only human being in this house, the five-year-old little girl.

    1. Hi! Thanks for the new chapter!

      I definitly not expect it – five years gone. But maybe this time Bette can make things right, good thing she still remember Tina. But where is Tina and what she doing for five years (i thinks with her previous story she can be criminal with Coopers now, didn’t she?)
      And did Bette get rid from Adele in her life?

      Waiting for the next updates to get some answers!

      It was very hard to read what happened to Tina, when she was so young. Which ashole beats a innocent child like that.

      And that same asshole now needs Bette, when she will discover what he did to Tina i hope she will make sure he will pay for this crime and the others crimes he did.

      So Bette did go for the job Tina told her she would be good in. I wonder if the dream will play out with Bette as the lawofficer and Tina as the “Bad Guy”.

      Would love to read about what happened the last five years till now.

      Excellent chapter, I can understand the sad memories Bette has, and the good she is at her job; I hate that damn and jackass man of Aaron, he es as criminal as the ones he fights, and I like that Bette knows how to face him.

      As what happened in the former chapter affected Bette, I think it also may affect Tina, who knows how she changed after she felt betrayed by the persons she trusted and the girl she loved.

      Anyway, looking forward to finding how Tina changed until this point and how both girls, now women, will find their way to each other, (if they will).

    4. Forgot to add – it’s not 5 years Tina fault, that FBI agents was so incompetent and gave opurtunity to main suspect kill six of them and escape. And Aaron – i really don’t understand how can he keeped his job, because it’s obviously was failure operation and he was lead agent, it was his resposible.
      But hey, maybe in future Tina can punch and kicked him so badly, like he beated her in past. I would like to see it.

      And btw, i have a feeling that Justine Cooper IS Tina (Laurel’s character from Angel LOL)
