Chapter 27 Resurrection
The last day in the Cooper mansion.
“The FBI and the SWAT team are here and probably going to break in in any second, Tasha is waiting outside for us, we have to leave.” Bette said to Tina.
Tina looked at Bette, then looked at her surrounding, she memorized where she was.
“Right,” Tina took Bette’s hand into hers. “Let’s go.”
Waited until the shooting fire temporary stop, two of them ran out of the huge meeting room.
Bended their body low, quietly they sneaked out without made both sides detect. Due to the superiority of the acquaint terrain, they passed through the under fire smoothly and headed back to Tina’s room. They had met a few Cooper crews on the way, but they were all busy at engaging in the fight, none of them really aware of the young boss’s appear, which was good for them.
When they finally reached Tina’s room, Tasha was already waiting for them.
“Quick, come inside.”
After entered the room, Bette first sat down on the closest chair she could find, the dizziness attacked her when she started to lose the blood.
“What happened out there? Where is Sam?” Tasha asked nervously.
Tasha’s eyes opened. “What? Why?”
“Jodi killed her when she tried to save my life,” Bette said while she grabbed a bottle of whiskey next to where she sat and drank a mouthful of it. “That fucking bitch.”
“It supposed to be me.” Tina said silently.
“Hey! Don’t ever say that again!” Bette suddenly yelled, made Tina and Tasha in a state of shock.
Saw her reaction scared the other two, Bette quickly composed herself, the unstoppable pain came from her arm really did affect her mind.
“I’m sorry…I’m just tired.” Bette muttered.
She slowly walked to Bette while saw her love’s bleeding arm, the brunette was holding it all the way. The blonde bit her bottom lip from not let her tear fall. Yes, she was terrified, although she’s been through so many things, watching her lover almost die was not one of them.
“Bette, are you alright?” Tina asked Bette carefully.
Heard her lover, Bette managed a smile.
“Hurt like shit, but I’m fine.”
