The Most Distant Course

“What do you want now? Cooper? Another no use threat…”
But when she opens her eyes and sees the new people who have come to see her in jail, her proud expression changes almost in a second. Her face flushes white, horror and anger mixes in the Senator’s eyes, her body tenses up like she’s ready for a fight, the woman rushes to the bar, holding the iron railings in her tight fists as if she’s going to tear them apart.
All six of them just simply look at Faye Buckley’s either surprise or furious face, saying nothing, there is no word that can describe the scene. Old lovers reunion in such a way in the prison…
How ironic, the once famous and popular Senator, now in the prison, is no one but a criminal, who is going to face her own justice.
Bette looks at Tina, she doesn’t know what the blonde is thinking so far, but from the calm appearance her love has, the Detective knew it’s all over.
“You…” Faye Buckley’s entire body is shaking furiously, her legs are quivering that can barely afford the weight of her body. “It’s you…”
The woman looks straight at the Senator who was once her lover, the one she had poured her heart and sacrificed her career for. How funny the destiny was, thanks to Faye Buckley, time ago, she was in prison for her sexual orientation, and now, the Senator was the one in the jail, carrying the guilt of tons of people’s lives and the crime of treason.
“Ben, greet her, as a token of gratitude of her blood.”
“Yes, mother.” The man looks at the Senator without any emotion, like meeting a stranger, though his eyes look directly at Faye Buckley, there is not a hint of happiness.
“Son…” Faye Buckley’s entire body is shaking furiously, her legs are quivering so much that can barely afford the weight of her body. “My son…”
There are tears…Tears falling on the evil woman’s cheek, watering her face, washing down the fake face of her, pain, is without a doubt the expression she’s having now. Bette is astonished that Faye Buckley still has a heart.
After years of missing and searching, Faye Buckley finally discovered that her son is actually alive in the world, but unable to reach for him…This is no doubt her biggest pain from all times.
Nodding to the woman behind the bar, the man pretends he has heard nothing, not even wanting to make a reply.
“Greetings, Senator Buckley.” Was all the man say.
“Not keeping herself in mind, not holding a just heart, drown in power and wealth will be like a mist. In this life, you should take them as a warning…No matter the situation, never forget the kindness in your heart.”
Marina Ferrer, the ex-wife of Faye Buckley says coldly, not even wants to see the Senator directly through the eyes.
“Yes, mother, I understand.” Ben Ferrer, son of Faye Buckley replies.
“No…no…this can’t be.” Faye Buckley is still muttering.
Bette looks at Tina, slowly interlocks her fingers with the blonde, feeling her cold hand slightly turns warm.
Since Marina has walked into the room, Tina says nothing but only look at the Senator coldly, watching the older woman one last time.
Yes, this is the last time, she will no longer come to this prison, she will no need to visit prison anymore.
It’s over, rewrite the fate of who she used to be, and took down the last card of the bad people.
Tina Kennard looks back at her lover, her hazel eyes cannot be purer.
Taking her lover’s hand, the two of them walk out of the dark and damp prison.
The sun cannot be more bright and shine, as soon as they step outside, the warm heat surround them in instant, taking away the cold of the winter.
A swallow flies through, shifting it’s little body, making a beautiful turn in the sky.
“It must be Aunt Rachel,” Bette says softly.
“It sure is.” Tina looks at the bird, holding back the urge to cry.
It’s over the total Eleven cards, no more enemies.
“Are you ready? T?” The detective asks.
Taking one last look at the prison, Tina leans on Bette’s shoulder, surrounding her arm on the Detective’s waist, she looks at her wife soon to be.
“Let’s go home.” She says.

So the bad guys get their just reward – prison and a long time. In the end Marina is free and Faye is in jail. Ben is free and his sister Candace is in jail. A life time of pursuit by Randy/Tina/Justine has been completed and Bette is still by her side. Nice chapter…. thanks for this.
Hi CJ:
Great chapter, now, we know who was behind the Dean’s drug dealer and the Cooper empire.
Buckey will live a hell after she met these two persons, if a little bit of decency still remains in her heart, she will be moved by this encounter, and she will realize that what Candace has done and the condemn her daughter will face is all her own fault as egoistic mother, she pushed her daughter to the limit.
What happens with Aaron and Phillips? Is Tina going to visit Aaron too, where is Shane, will she be able to live in the USA or would she need to go back to Mexico?
Very nice story, now we want to know what awaits in the future for Bette and Tina.
Thank you for the wonderful chapter, please post soon, my friend.

Hi CJ,
The last card has been played and all of the bad guys are in prison.
How can someone turn from loving and kind to such a heartless and cruel person? I am almost feeling sorry for Faye, almost, she lost and have to pay for the crimes she committed and how she dragged her daughter along with it. Yes i feel a little bit sorry for Candace, but in her hunger for her mothers love she made grave mistakes and is now punished for the crimes she admitted. I do understand why Bette felt a little twinge in her heart at what has become Candace’s fate. Candace was really in love with her and Bette couldn’t give her heart because it always belonged to Tina.
Goold old James, the assistent who had Tina’s back since she was young. I could have known he was the one to help and protect Tina.
I loved the interaction between him and Bette.
It makes me feel sad to know this story is almost finished. It was quite a journey you took us this last year.
But i am looking forward to the next chapter!!!
Thank for this incredible good story CJ!!!!
