    The Most Distant Course

“Did the police chief really do that?”

Tina responds with a sneer, she stands up, slowly walks to the fireplace.

“Mark Wayland wouldn’t get out the prison for no reason…”

With a soft knock on the door, Sam walks in.

    “You summoned me, ma’am?”

Two poker card appears from nowhere, as if it suddenly jumps out to Tina’s palm. Tina gently caresses the playing card, it’s the Jack of heart and the Ace of heart.

“Go investigate for me, if our human trader Mr. Beech and the police chief really did this for our gun trader…I don’t need to worry about them anymore, as long as I leak the information to Eric Cassie, and after that… he will help me do the rest.”

Sam slightly bows to Tina, then she leaves the room silently. Tina’s eyes focus on Sam’s expression while Bette is thinking about what Tina has said.

“Eric Cassie? The head of the Gambling market? I thought he and Mark were friends, what does he have to do with this?”

“Eric Cassie did seem to have a good friendship with Mark Wayland, but it’s only because of Mark willing to provide his weapon to help the casino security. So as to get the low price of the guns, Eric has no choice but let Mark act as he pleases in the casino. Last long, he certainly won’t be happy about this inequality friendship.”

“And Curtis Beech? If Eric really reported to the police, doesn’t it cause harm to him?”

    Tina smiles intriguingly.

“Curtis Beech…He was from a long, great military tradition, he has the blood of the general, so has a strong personality. Although he has a good family background, he met some bad friends and fascinated in gambling…didn’t take him long to spend all his family fortune, he was in great debt. In order to pay off those he owes, he used his military privilege to do illegal stuff…first smuggling animals when he garrison abroad. He did pay all his debts, but still, this money couldn’t afford his habit of gambling. To earn more money, he then turned into a human trafficker. Having bad luck, he was being caught, later the military stripped of his rank and dismissed, his family used their authorities to free him from the prison. Once they thought he would reform evil, his decision to join the Cooper company only prove them wrong.”

      • Hi Zhenya:

Thanks for the comment, I’m afraid not, I think it will be too obvious that someone is against them if the next target is Adele. Just for warning, the chapters later on won’t be easy to read.

    1. Hi CJ,

Sorry to hear you had a tough month! I will ???? april brings you much joy and positive things!

Impressing how Tina handled the chief!!! He is down and played his card.

I think they are going back to town and visit her aunts grave.

      Marveleous story!!!

      • Hi Bibi28:

Thank you, I hope so too, I really need some positive thoughts now, lots of things happened in March.

I’m happy for Tina that she finally put Adele’s father in jail, which means the story is already halfway left to go.

Just like I’ve said before, the story later on will be hard to read, welcome to give me any opinion if you have.

        Thanks for the comment! Bibi28!

    2. Hi CJ:

Wow, that was very interesting and very good. So Tina is taking revenge and I don’t think it is only personal, I think she is making justice, that chief police is the worse that could happen to the Law enforcement, a corrupted, chauvinist, criminal, he and the others deserve the punishment, as they say, karma is a bitch.

The question is who is going to take his place in Cooper’s organization? Tina only has Shane, I don’t think she could trust Sam.

I hope your hard time will end soon, and we could enjoy more of this story.
I will be waiting eagerly for the update.

Thanks for the chapter, it is excellent.

      • Hi proteonomics:

Tina is not a heartless person, I believe she won’t kill anyone without any reason. Sending Adele’s father into prison was what she does to revenge, which is the best way to punish him and let him taste the consequences of what he’s done.

I think Tina has no choice, she has to trust Sam, she’s reliable, talented and smart, despite the fact that she dislikes Bette, I think she will be Tina’s best and only choice.

Thank you for the support and comments, my friend, I hope the following days will be better.

        CJ
