    The Nightmare

    “Like what?” Tina asked.

    “With you both pouting.”

Tina looked at Bette. Bette didn’t flinch.

“Hopefully not every session,” Tina shrugged.

“Okay then. How was the date? Did you hold hands? Did you share something with each other you never shared before?”

    “Dates,” Tina corrected.

“Dates…as in more than one?” Julia clarified.

    They both nodded.

    “Tina, how were these dates?”

    “Amazing,” Tina said without hesitation.

“I planned the first one. I thought it would be interesting to recreate the night I told Bette I was leaving.”

“Really? Why did you think that would be interesting?”

“I screwed up the first time. I didn’t speak to her for like a week. Then I invited her to our favorite restaurant. Then I just blurted out I was leaving. I didn’t want that to be the last memory we had together there.”

“Bette, how did you feel during the date?”

“Trepidatious at first. She had us wear the same outfits and we sat at the same table. But as the night went on, it was…really nice.”

    Bette cleared her throat.

Julia paused to make notes. Tina looked at Bette.

“Did you share something you had never shared with each other before or after the second date.”

    “Before,” Tina said.

    Bette nodded.

    “And, Bette, how was that?”

    “Intimate.”

Julia cocked her head to the side. Bette ran her hand through her hair.

“Ummm…we hadn’t talked like that in an extremely long time. Upon further reflection, it seems we weren’t as open with each other as I previously thought.”

    “And that surprised you?”

“A little. But also not really.”

Bette licked her lips and adjusted her seat. Julia noticed Bette crossed her leg away from Tina.

“What about you, Tina? Was what Bette shared with you surprising?”

“Yes,” Tina shook her head and giggled, remembering the pie incident.

She reached over and squeezed Bette’s hand. Bette looked down at the contrast of their complexions. She smiled despite herself. Bette was always mesmerized by how Tina’s alabaster skin popped against her mocha skin. That was one of the things Bette loved to focus on during sex. When she wasn’t staring into Tina’s sunflower eyes, she was watching the way their bodies looked as they rocked against each other. The way her hand cupped Tina’s creamy breast. The way her thumb rubbed over her nipple waiting to be popped into her mouth like a maraschino cherry. Vanilla and caramel colliding together over and over and over and over again. Bette loved how Tina’s skin turned slightly pink, the more aroused she became. Bette loved how she would leave impressions on Tina’s tinted skin when she squeezed or scratched or sucked or bit any part of Tina’s body.

    1. So good to see a update on this absolutely brilliant written story!

I’m glad they have Julia as therapist, honest and not afraid to tell some truths.

I have the faith they will reunite, stronger than ever but the path leading to that is full of bumps on the road.
