    The Roommates – 2nd Dimension: Chapter 34

You think Id leave you behind, T?

What am I supposed to think?

Bette sighed and nodded in the direction of Tinas packed suitcase and backpack resting against the wall.

I already packed your things, T. I would never leave you behind.

Tina glanced over at her luggage and replied, Well, how was I supposed to know you were really leaving?

Tina.I called your cell phone. You didnt answer so I left a message.

The look in Tinas eyes said she didnt believe her lovers words. You left a message?, she asked, pulling her phone out of her purse and seeing Bettes missed call.

Oh. You left a message., said Tina.

Bette continued on with her packing frenzy.

I told you I did. Did you really think Id leave you?

Tina sighed deeply, I didnt know what to think. You just took off in such a hurry.

I was upset, Tina. Im just tired of all the drama around here. I need a ***** break., said Bette.

I know you do. Im sorry, babe.

Bette looked up and smiled softly before zipping her suitcase. You dont have to be sorry, T. Thank you for being with me. I know I blew up back there. I hope you didnt think it had anything to do with you.

    I know it didnt.

Bette nodded and continued to gather the rest of her things.

The doorbell rang and the lovers looked curiously at each other.

Maybe its our cab., said Bette.

    You called a cab?

    Yeah.

Wow, you are really serious about this arent you?, asked Tina.

    I told you I was.

Bette looked around at their luggage and said, If you go talk to the cab driver, Ill start bringing our things down.

Okay., said Tina, before dashing out the door and down the front steps.

When she opened the door and didnt find a cab waiting on the street or a cab driver at the door, Tina stood still, staring into a pair of sad, gray eyes. The woman before her was a short Latina with long, dark hair that fell past her shoulders, slight curls in the wisps that hung around her narrow face. As the pair of shy, gray eyes moved away from Tinas curious gaze, the womans timidity became all the more apparent.

    1. Although I have read every word of your stories, often late into the night I have never commented. Now that I realize how important the comments are when writing in a bit of a vacuum I will not continue that practive. I love this story. It is fresh, and energetic and the setting makes them so youg and innocent..their whole lives ahead of them and possible with eachother.
Can’t wait for a little B&T lovin unleass of course Melving catches you which I think might be where we are going. Oh the drama!!!

    2. MTS,
Brilliant yet again. You always put a great big grin on my face just by posting a new chapter so imagine my delight when it is as superb as this.
Please keep up the excellent work and give us this insight into Bette and Tina and their relationship.

    3. Hey! I just got all caught up and as I expected everything was just perfect! I hope they’ll finally get a chance to de-compress and just be together without interuption. It’ll be interesting though, to see how things work out between Bette and her mom. I was wondering if Bette would begin to realize that by not being completely honest with Janice about her relationship w/Tina she, too, is not being truthful…then maybe she’ll be able to understand and forgive her mother’s actions. Often it’s easy to overlook our own faults and fears when our focus is on everyone else’s screw-ups. Thank you!!!

    4. what a way to end my sunday. this story is so great. i love the evolution of their relaitonship. i enjoyed how you had karen in there. something for them to learn. great as usual. can’t wait for the next one, soon please.

    5. Ok, I’m a little anxious here!! Although, it’s good Bette and Tina will have some “alone” time, but I’m nervous that Melvin’s going to come home from golf sooner than Bette’s thinking!!!
