    Bette deals with the outcome of her startling revelations….

     

    Tina smiled slightly, Dana’s unexpected question sending her thoughts into a spiral of confusion.

     

    Though she’d always assumed she and Bette would be together forever, she had no idea of how this feat of longevity could actually be completed. How were they going to make it all the way through school without their parents finding out? Trying to keep it a secret for 6 months had been a difficult task. How were they possibly going to make it another 3 and a half years?

     

    Dana watched as Tina’s eyes became cloudy with unspoken thoughts.

     

    And when they finished school, what would they do? Would they get married? Would it even be legal then? Would they get one of those domestic partner agreement things? Could they even do that? And when would they finally come clean to their parents? They’d have to do it eventually. How could they possibly plan a life, a home, a family…without telling their loved ones? How could they explain children that just suddenly appeared with no mention of a husband or boyfriend? And would they even have children? If they did, who would carry the children? Would they both carry the kids? How many would they have?

     

    “Dana, I don’t know. I mean…I’ve always felt that we would always be together. I just haven’t really given a lot of thought to the details.”, Tina finally replied.

     

    “You guys never talk about it?”, asked Dana.

     

    Tina shook her head. “Not really. We don’t really seem to have a lot of time to discuss it. Everything has been spiraling out of control lately. I guess we’ve just been caught up in making it from day to day.”

     

    “But you definitely see her in your future?”

     

    Tina smiled, the shine returning to her eyes. “I do. I can’t imagine a future without her by my side.”

     

    Dana smiled as she playfully rolled her eyes. “I am so jealous. You guys have it so good. I wish I could find what you have.”

     

    “Dane, we’re still so young. You have plenty of time. And what about that girl you met last week at the club? You guys hook up yet or what?”, asked Tina.

    4. Well,well, well, loomwho is finally back in the world of fan fic. You’ve been missed morethansatisfied! I’m so happy that you’ve picked up this great story once again. Unfortunately for Bette she has Melvin’s stubborn streak and i don’t think either of them are at a point where they are going to change the others mind. I know Bette was getting annoyed at the way her father was treating Damon but she really needed to think this one through better. i mean she is completely dependent (financially anyway) on Melvin so ticking him off in this manner is going to have some serious repercussions for Ms. Porter. i just hope she doesn’t have to leave school, Tina and all her friends. Thansk for the great chapter.

    6. hmmm… 6 months. You’re almost as lazy as I am. =P I think Bette is doing the right thing. If she wants to do it after everyone’s cooled down, maybe Melvin would choose to ignore it and pretend nothing happened. Bette’s so alike him. Their confrontation must be very violent, but may reach an amazing end. I think Melvin really likes Bette could be as tough as him somehow, hoho. That’s my theory. Fingers crossed for our young girls.

    10. I had read your story before but was just in the reading mode and not commenting. This is a heart breaking story that happens too many times every day. I hope that Bette will begin to understand that we can not always make others believe that it is okay to love another woman. Both Bette and Tina have a lot of work ahead of them but they can overcome together. I hope that you get to post soon.
