    B&T Fiction Set in College.””You’re a very pretty girl, Bette. But I want your appearance to evoke ‘astonishing’ from every one that walks through those doors.”

    Alice smiled. “None of that, Tina. Let’s head inside and unpack. And get this…..Dana brought a six-pack for us to break in the new bachelorette pad.”

    That made Tina smile. “You brought a six-pack?” she asked Dana.

    Dana nodded and her dark hair swayed. “I did. Let’s head inside.”

    The trio walked inside their 3-story apartment building and headed to their residence on the 2nd floor. Their building wasn’t bad and their apartment came mostly furnished because they were subletting it from some other college students. When they made it inside, Tina sat down on the futon in the living room and Alice sat down beside her.

    Dana walked the short distance to the adjoining kitchen, opened the refrigerator, and pulled out the six-pack.

    “Bring on the brew, Fairbanks,” said Alice.

    Alice’s wide smile faded as she saw the brown bottles in Dana’s hand.

    “Rootbeer, Dana? You brought rootbeer?” asked Alice.

    Dana’s eyebrows furrowed as she spoke. “Al, do you honestly think Erwin and Sharon are gonna send me off with alcohol? They’re the ones who stocked the fridge. Think about that for a minute.”

    Tina just laughed. She’d missed her friends.

    Alice shrugged. “Alright. Let’s crack ‘em open.”

    The girls toasted to their summer independence and each took a swig of rootbeer. Tina sat back against the futon and said, “Alice?”

    “Yeah?”

    “Are we gonna be okay this summer? I mean, no more drama, right? Is everything cool between you and me and Bette and you?” asked Tina.

    Dana was sitting on the floor nearby, her eyeballs ping-ponging back and forth between her two friends.

    “T, everything is totally cool. I’m totally over it. I went home, smoked some good weed, let my mind relax. The world is much easier to tackle when you’ve had some good grass. I’m fine. I’m sorry I was acting like a freak. I think it was the stress.”

    Tina sighed and sipped her soda. “I’m glad.”

    Just then, her cell phone vibrated against her hip and Tina rolled her eyes once she’d glanced at the caller id.

    “Who is it?” asked Dana.

    “My ex,” Tina replied.

    “Your ex?” asked Alice.

    1. Excellent update, MTS! Valerie was very honest with Bette about what was required to run a Art Museum and/or Gallery. That experience will always stay with her. A demanding and difficult person, can be the best teacher one can have in order to become more professional. We are glad that Tina could come to terms with her family. However, we doubt that their parents have grown enough to accept and understand T’s sexuality. Tina has always been too scared to tell their parents, because of old prejudices running at home.     3. Hey MTS, I jumped into the first chapter of Pride & Prejudice and realized it was a continuation of Roommates and Roommates 2, so I went back and read all of the previous stories and am now caught up. I really like this series of stories and am looking forward to your upcoming posts. jinjur

    4. The “Prima Donna” is gonna run Bette around in circles. I can’t wait to read about their adventures in interning. But most of all I can’t wait until Bette goes to visit Tina. :)

    5. I hope that Bette survives the Met and that Tina survives the summer without her love. I am not a drama person so I hope that the summer is pretty painless.

    7. Good to see that Tina chilled abit and gave her parents (and herself) to enjoy her homecoming. So I’m guessing this art lady will be the model for the power lesbian that Ms. Porter will one day become. Thanks for another great update MTS. Keep the post coming….How long before Bette and Tina are in the same time zone again?

    10. HEY MTS, Sweet to see Tina reconnect with her parents agaion. I think she needs to tell them the truth and unburdon herself. They love her and I am sure it will be a shock to them initially, Tina is still their child and they will do all htat they can to protect and love her. Seeing the difference that Bette has made it her life can only convince them of the love between these gals. How it has completed them. As for Bette, she has a tough challenge in working with the crazy prima donna fro the Met. I do think this will be the making of her professionally. It is strange to think of Bette as anything other than “astounding”. Okay a little polish might be needed to reveal her sparkle and cute to have Bette and her Mom bonding over the femimine pursuits of shopping and pampering. The best bit was Bette and Tina’s phoen conversation which only increased their need to be in each other’s arms once more and enjoy the physicality of their realtionship.
