    ”What do you mean one way? I should have a return flight booked?” I ask as she looks back at her computer screen. ”I’m only showing a one way. Flight 1260 from Los Angeles to Colorado Springs today. No return flight” She says and I scoff and start to turn around and get a taxi

    ”Oh Ms. Porter. There is a letter here for you. I just saw the notation under your confirmation to give it to you. Sorry I did not see that the first time”

    I roll my eyes and grab the letter out of her hand.

    ”I am going to save all these damn letters and have a huge fucking bonfire when this is over” I mumble to myself and I hear the agent chuckling at me. I give her an apologetic look and began to read.

    Hello Bettenezer Scrooge!

    I trust that this letter finds you ready to go on a verbal tirade at the ticket counter learning that you have a one way ticket to Colorado Springs, Colorado. I would advise you not to do that as the TSA will detain you and you will miss your flight. Allow me to explain………

    The reason for the one way ticket is you will have a choice of returning back here or going to another destination after your holiday adventure comes to an end. I will leave that choice up to you. The airline is instructed to bill my account when you have decided.

    So let’s see you flash that Porter smile and enjoy your flight. There will be a car waiting for you when you arrive and the driver will have a sign with your name on it. I took the liberty of making the sign myself.  I think you will love my artistic ability!

    I roll my eyes and shake my head as I stuff the letter in my purse ”Fucking loon” I mumble as I walk back to the ticket agent.

    ”Ok. I have two bags. Go ahead and take them before I change my mind” I say as she prints out the tags to go on my bags. She then hands me my boarding pass.

    5. A fantastic story. I wish i could see that picture from Bette with that scowl on her face.

      So Mama B, Tina has a lot to explain. Great move to let them ride together to the cabin. Bette has to hold in her anger with Angie sitting next to her.

      Loved the update!

    6. Thank you for posting this story, I’ve never seen this before and don’t know how I missed it but I am so happy you have posted it again. Such a sucker for a B&T happy story. It’s probably going to take a couple chapters for the happy to show itself between them but Angie will make it happen. Obviously Tina has been telling Angie about Bette all this time and showing pictures of her. This is gonna be good. Can hardly wait for the next post. Thanks again for sharing.
