    The Secret Santa—Chapter 5

”What’s wrong Angie?” Mama asks and smiles at me

I look at her and see that she is happy. I haven’t seen her smile like she is smiling at me before but I don’t ever want to see her cry again.

”Mama? Can I ask you something?”

”Yes baby. You can ask me anything” She says and I pull her to the bench in front of us to sit down. I see I’m scaring her and I don’t want to.

”Do you love Mama B?” I ask and she nods her head

”Yes.. I love your Mama B very much. I’ve have always loved her”

”Well? I really want Mama B to be with us but I don’t want her to make you cry.” I say to her and she pulls me into such a tight hug I can’t breathe…Oh good. She saw that she was squeezing me too tight and let go.

”Angie? Your Mama B and I want to be together and we can’t promise you that one of us won’t cry because we may hurt one another, not intentionally though, but it may happen. That’s just how relationships work. You will understand that one day when you are in one”

”Ok but I don’t like to see you cry Mama. It hurts” I say and she kisses me on the forehead

”Oh sweetie. Have I told you lately how proud I am of you?” She asks and I nod my head.

”Yeah you told me a few days ago and a day before that and before that I think” I say trying to think back to all the times she’s told me and she starts to laughs. I love her laugh.

”Well? I will say it again. I’m so proud of you and I love you very much. Now we better get going or we are going to miss Santa” She says and I jump off the bench because I forgot about Santa.

”I love you too but let’s go Mama! We have to hurry. I have to tell him something!” I say pulling her hand and she laughs again as we make our way through the park to see Santa.

    Bette:

”Damn it! I broke a fucking nail!. Son of a bitch!…Ohhhh Santa. You are going to owe me a manicure when this is all over. I hope you reveal yourself because I would so love to stick my foot up your ass!” I grumble as I finally got the damn tree up in the stand. I have to admit I’m proud of myself. I don’t think I could have picked a more perfect tree and I will wait till Tina and Angie get back before trimming it.

    1. Great to see you continue to posting this story!

So, we find out who’s the Santa. And good to see how is relationship between B&T continue to develop.
But it’s not finish, and you continue to write and this story too, right?

      • This story isn’t finished…I mean it’s completed but I’m not done posting..There are a few more chapters left..I also have the next chapter of The Diary coming…Thanks for reading

    2. Words cannot explain how much I love a feel good story. Thank you so very much for this one and getting it updated. I appreciate your literary contributions. Perhaps you are my Secret Santa?

    3. Thanks for continuing to post this story, it is loving, delightful, and well thought out. However, it is almost impossible to hide the witticisms from Alices’ mouth. I knew she was the secret santa because only she could come up with some of the things she said and did. Over the years she has said some of the zaniest things and some of them have been used in this story. Happy to know you will continue the story and the Diary as well. Thank you again.

    4. When in the beginning of the story Santa generously threw money right and left, I seriously thought it was Peggy peabody. But yes, I agree with the comments above, only Alice could go on and on about her talnets. I love this story, it’s so kind and positive and humorous. And promising a better future. Thank you!
