Kit: Bette please, it’s complicated.

Bette: You fucked a married man Kit, how complicated can it be?

Kit: It was one time.

Bette: Oh and that makes it right?

Kit: No but..

Bette: Did she know?

Kit: No. At least I don’t think she did.

Bette: So you just been lying to everyone, fucking class act Kit.

Bette stood up and started pacing back and forth.

Kit: Listen baby girl, I did what I did, I don’t need your fucking judgment. You have no idea what I’m going through right now.

Kit began to tear up.

Bette: Sorry if I have no sympathy for you Kit.

Kit: It never happened again. We were working late one night after the success of the third album, we celebrated with friends and there was a lot of alcohol. Afterwards, he and I went back to the studio to work on a new song that he composed, we kept drinking and just having a good time, one thing led to the other and it just happened. We were so piss drunk. He and I regretted it immediately, and he was going to tell Olivia but I convince him not too. Allen loved her to death, I wasn’t going to let him loose the love of his life because of this one bad mistake.

Bette: He had a baby with you Kit, don’t you think she should have known that?

Kit: He didn’t know until last minute Bette!

Kit yelled out.  Bette frowned her face as she stopped to look at Kit in the eyes.

Bette: What did you just say?

Bette waited for an answer.

Bette: Kit, what do you mean he didn’t know, how the hell could he have not known?

Kit: I never told him until about a month before I had the baby.

Bette just stood blinking her eyes.

Kit: He thought I was just fat, and we talked about diets and I kept saying that I was going to go on one just to throw him off. Finally, he realized that I was getting fatter and then he asked me plain and simple, if I were pregnant or not, and I told him the truth. The problem was, Olivia was also due around the same time.
