“Remember last week we talked about that Guinness World Record for the person that gave the most kisses?”
“Uh, huh.” The blonde shook her head.
“Well you suggested we needed to up how many kisses we share every day so we keep our totals high.”
“Yeah.” Tina raised her head and looked at her wife. “You’re still thinking about that?”
“Well yeah.” Came Bette’s definitive answer. “Babe, I’m not let some guy claim that title.”
“No, of course not,” Tina chuckled, knowing how competitive her wife was.
“We’ve had a rough week with keeping our commitment to our goal.” Bette pointed out to her wife.
“Babe, I’ve had an insanely busy week with work.” Tina sighed and laid her head back on Bette’s chest once again.
“That’s the point T.” Bette wanted to explain. “I think I’ve come up with a way to calculate more kisses from our past.”
“B, I have a feeling I’m gonna end up in an episode of the Time Machine or the Twilight Zone.” Tina chuckled as she sat up and looked at Bette.
“No, no babe.” Bette sat up too. “Nothing like that.”
“Okay, So, I’m game.” Tina grinned, knowing full well that there would be no sleep tonight unless her wife explained her idea.
Bette the thinker was on a roll.
“Okay, okay.” Bette began with all the excitement of their daughter. “So… I think we missed quite a lot of kisses earlier when we were doing the calculations on Sunday.”
“Really?” Arched her brow, Tina was curious. “How so?”
“Well,” The brunette reached for her notepad from last weekend that was on her nightstand.
“Oh no.” Tina threw her head back. “Fuck Bette, not more numbers. B, my brain’s fried from budget talks most of the week at the studio.”
“Oh, T. No worries.” Bette put her reading glasses on too. They were perched on the tip of her nose. “I’ve already done the numbers babe.”
“Thank god.” The blonde pursed her lip and took a deep breath. “K, I’m ready. Go on.”
“So,” Bette looked back at her notes, tapping her pencil on the top page “T, we’ve really misjudged all the special events in our lives that carry with them lots of extra opportunities for us kissing.”

Thanks for your thoughts, my area remains at Level 3 but as we have been at this Level for some considerable time it’s not easy. I will remain in sole isolation now until I can get the Vaccine which, I hope, may be early in the New Year.
Hope you will get the vaccine ASAP!
Facetime & zoom calls make the isolation less daunting.

I have been remiss not to comment on this chapter. Such a different take on their mutual affection. Writing short stories can be just as challenging as writing 19 page chapters so kudos to you for posting these!

It certainly is a challenge to keep on top of all the new stories & then find time to write our own stories & chapters as well.
I have enjoyed writing these shorties – sure it can be challenging to get everything in that 2 or 2 chapters, but the long term multiple stress isn’t there.
