"If you love somebody, let them go. If they return, they were always yours. If they don’t, they never were.”

California. Lovely, warm, beautiful. The thought of California reminded Bette of Tina. New York. Cold, busy, unexplainable. These thoughts reminded Bette of herself. She drove herself to the airport after a long day at the office cleaning out all of her stuff. She would have just left it if she could. The dark New York sky was lit up, and it felt strange. For the first time, when she got out of her car to grab her bags, she looked up at the shining dark and didn’t feel anger or hate. She felt soothed and hope for a future. She needed to see Tina again. Just even if it was to make sure she was okay. After she had left, after that night…Shane’s wedding…She thought… Three years wasted… She wondered if Tina was still with Henry or if she was with another man. In the end she didn’t care, she just wanted to see her face. Bette smiled to herself. I gotta get on that damn plane and get my ass home… Then she walked through the front doors smiling as she headed back to Los Angeles.

Tina: Alice….. Who was your first kiss?

Alice laughed out loud and pointed a finger at Tina as Shane took a swig of her beer.

Alice: Okay, my first kiss… do you mean lesbian or straight?

    Shane laughed.

Shane: I don’t think straight kissing counts in the game.

    Kit: I think your right.

Kit walked back into the room with some chips and dip.

Alice: My first lesbian kiss was this chick named Courtney Melvyn. I was drunk; she was drunk, it was so totally typical lesbian first kiss.

Shane and Tina laughed as Kit shook her head.

Kit: You three still act like teenagers.

    Shane: And you love it.

    Kit ruffled Shane’s hair.

    Kit: You know I do.

    Kit’s cell rang.

    Kit: Hmm who’s callin’ now?

Kit looked at her cell and it was flashing “B.Porter” so she answered.

    1. I’m afraid I did, I decided to start fresh and focus everything on one. Sorta like a painting, don’t do five at once, it doesn’t work, just do one at a time and focus all your creativity on your current project.

    2. “How very Bette Porter of me.” LOL I loved it. This is a really great idea. I like your other story, too, but I have to say, it can get frustrating then you’re not getting the results you can get with a good ol’ Tibette… still, keep plugging away ’cause I like that one, too!
