The Triangle of Love – Chapter 20

Alice: I wouldn’t do that. I thought about it, and I kinda did. But when I think about it, there was no doubt in my mind that we wouldn’t end up together.

Dana: Yeah, me too. Do you want to shower now? We should start getting ready of were going for breakfast.

Alice: Yeah. Let me just finish my coffee and I’ll be ready.

They finished off their coffee and went to shower. Once they were done, they got dressed, brushed their teeth and Dana cleaned up a little, while Alice watched lovingly. Once they were at The Planet, it was 10am. They had around an hour and half before they had to set off to the hospital. When they walked in, they were pleasantly surprised to see their friends there. They went to order breakfast, and made their way to the table where their friends were sat.

    Dana: Hey guys.

Shane: Hey! How are you guys?

Alice: Good. I’m having my pots off today.

Bette: You kept that quiet, Alice.

Alice: Yeah, it’s not really something to bring up in a conversation.

    Bette: That’s true, I guess.

Tina: Are you guys staying for a little?

    Dana: Yeah, we ordered breakfast.

Tina stood up and grabbed Dana a chair, while the rest of their friends shuffled their chairs round so there was room next to Danas chair for Alice in her wheelchair. They sat down and their breakfast came.

Waitress: One ham and cheese sandwich?

    Alice: Yeah, that’s mine.

Waitress: And a plain tuna baguette?

    Dana: Yeah, thanks.

    Alice: Thank you.

The waitress walked away and they began to eat their breakfast while their friends chatted amongst themselves. Once they had finished, the table of friends resumed their conversation.

Jenny: So, Alice, I bet you can’t wait to get out of that thing.

Alice: Yeah, it’s so frustrating not being able to do anything for myself. If I need the toilet, I have to take someone with me.

Bette: I bet you’re grateful for Dana.

Dana: She doesn’t have to be grateful. There’s no place I’d rather be than by her side.

Carmen: Aww, that’s so cute! Shane, why don’t you say things like that to me?

Shane: Because we’re not a couple? And I don’t need to say it, I show you.
