The Triangle of Love – Chapter 20
Dr. Edwards: Alice, I need you to keep extremely still for me, do you think you can do that?
Alice: Yeah. Will it hurt?
Dr. Edwards: No, unless you move. Just be still, and it will be over before you know it.
Alice closed her eyes as her pots were being cut off. There was a slight vibration coming from the saw and she squeezed Danas hand a little harder. Dana was watching her face the whole time. She didn’t want to glance down at the sight of Alice’s legs. She knew she would still love her just as much, of not more, but she didn’t want to worry Alice if she did have any kind of reaction. After around 45 minutes, they were off.
Dr. Edwards: All done.
Alice opened her eyes, but instead of looking at her legs, she looked at Dana, who was staring right back at her.
Alice: Dane?
Dana: Alice…
Alice: What do they look like?
Dana didn’t want to look, but knew she had to, for Alice. She turned her head and took a quick glance at Alice’s legs. There were bruising around the cuts on her legs, and her knees looked a little out of place, but other than that, they weren’t as bad as Dana was expecting. However, she was worried about the cuts. They were bruised, and there was still some blood evident around the wounds. She looked back at Alice and nodded. They both had tears in their eyes as Alice looked down at her legs. She gasped and began to sob.
Alice: I’m a freak! Look at me, Dana!
Dana: Al, calm down. You’re beautiful.
Alice: Beautiful? How can I be fucking beautiful with legs that look like that?
Dana: You are, baby. You are.
Dr. Edwards: Alice, I was honestly expecting your legs to look worse. It seems the bones have healed fairly well, and as for the cuts, they only look like that as they haven’t had chance to heal properly underneath the pots. Once they get some fresh air to them, they should be fully healed in a couple of weeks.
Dana: What about her knees, they look out of place?
Dr. Edwards: That from the fact she hasn’t been able to bend them. When you start you routine, they should reform their shape.
