Bette: So, how are you guys doing?

Alice: Good.

Dana: Yeah, Alice is getting better, so, I’m great.

Tina: Are you going back into training?

Dana: Not yet. I want to make sure Alice is 100% before going back. It shouldn’t be too hard. I’ve been doing other things, just not as intense or every day.

Tina: How about you, Alice? I see you’re still using your chair.

Alice: I need it for when we go out. I can move around the house with a pair of crutches, but I need the chair anytime else.

Bette: Well, I hope you’re up on your feet soon.

They stayed at The Planet for around another hour, before people had to go off to work, or other important errands. Alice and Dana decided to go home. They still needed to talk about Alice moving out, but that could wait. When they arrived at home, Dana had an idea. It was something they hadn’t tried yet. Dana helped Alice into her house and Alice made her way to the bathroom. She was now able to use the toilet and shower on her own, but Dana was always in the bathroom while Alice showered anyway, just in case. Once Alice was done in the toilet, she walked into the kitchen to see Dana making some coffee. It was only 11:30am, so they weren’t hungry just yet. Alice walked up to Dana and stood by her side. Dana turned and smiled at Alice, before going back to making the coffee. She told Alice to go and sit in the living room while she finished. Once she was done, she walked into the living room and handed Alice her coffee. She sat down beside Alice after turning the TV on and decided to ask Alice about her idea.

Dana: Al, I had an idea in the car.

Alice: Yeah?

Dana: If you don’t want to, then that’s okay, but I was thinking, why don’t you try to walk without your crutches?

Alice: Dane, we tried that, remember? I fell flat on my fucking face.

Dana: I mean, I stand at one end of the room, and you at the other, and you try to walk to me. We can start at a short distance, and increase it if it gets better.
