The Triangle of Love – Chapter 23

Dana and Alice had both agreed on the journey to England that if anyone asked, they would say they were on vacation. They didn’t want to tell anyone, especially a complete stranger, the real reason they had come to a different country.

Wendy was looking at them with a confused but amused look on her face.

Wendy: You came to Barnsley, for a holiday?

    Alice: Yeah, why not?

Wendy: Seems strange for you to come here, when there are much nicer places to go.

Dana: We like to travel, and this was a place on our list.

Wendy: Oh okay. Well, if you need anything, I’ll be right here to help.

    Alice & Dana: Thanks.

Wendy went inside her house to grab a pair of gloves to finish her gardening, while Alice and Dana turned their attention to their other neighbours. They wandered to the fence and the youngest child spotted them and began pointing. The male adult looked over and smiled, before turning his attention back to the children. Alice and Dana got the impression that they didn’t want to talk, so they went back inside. They decided they should rent a car, as they weren’t familiar with the public transport here. Dana called the car rental while Alice unpacked their things. They decided to use the biggest bedroom as the one they’d sleep in, and the others as storage if needed. Once Dana had finished on the phone, they decided to go for a walk, as the house they were using was just across from a public path. It was 7pm, and the sky was still light. The path they were walking on was fairly thin, and surrounded by trees. It was nice and peaceful, but a lot of children on bikes kept coming past them. They walked for around 30 minutes, before turning around and walking back. When they got back, they ordered dinner from a takeaway called Divinos. They had pizza, chips, kebab, a burger to share and onion rings. They didn’t finish it all though, as there was way too much. They went to bed not long after, to rest ready for the morning.

The next morning, they decided to go into the town centre. They had to pick up their hire car at 11am, so they could spend the rest of the day exploring Barnsley. It was 8am, and Dana was in the kitchen looking in the cupboards for something to eat for breakfast. When she opened one cupboard, a packet flew out at her onto the floor due to the cupboards being too full. She picked up the food and frowned. Alice was in the living room watching BBC News, when she heard Dana walk into the room.

    1. Very nice chapter, of course, it is strange that they were on vacation in such a weird place, but my question is will Lara find where they are? what did really happen to her? how she survived the fight with Aidan? which side is Aidan and what are his intentions?
Too many questions. Thanks for the update
