    Dana: Alice? Alice: What? Dana: What’s this? Dana handed the packet to Alice and Alice frowned at the circular object inside the packet. Alice: It’s obviously food, Dana. Dana: But what is it? Alice: Well, it says ‘crumpet’ on the front, so I’m guessing it’s a crumpet. Dana: And would you care to explain what

    Dana: Alice?

    Alice: What?

    Dana: What’s this?

    Dana handed the packet to Alice and Alice frowned at the circular object inside the packet.

    Alice: It’s obviously food, Dana.

    Dana: But what is it?

    Alice: Well, it says ‘crumpet’ on the front, so I’m guessing it’s a crumpet.

    Dana: And would you care to explain what a crumpet is?

    Alice: How the fuck would I know?

    Alice handed the crumpets back to Dana and she walked back into the kitchen. She read the packet and saw that you can toast them, so she did. She spread a small layer of Lurpack butter on them, got two plates from a cupboard and put one on each plate. She picked the two plates up and walked back into the living room, and handed one to Alice.

    Alice: Let me guess, it’s a crumpet?

    Dana: Shut up and eat it, Al.

    They chuckled at their playful bickering before taking a bite from their crumpet. Dana chewed hers with an unreadable expression on her face, while Alice screwed her face up and spat the crumpet out. She put the plate on the table at the side of the couch and looked over at Dana, who seemed to be enjoying hers.

    Alice: How on earth can you eat that thing?

    Dana: I don’t know, but I kinda like it. I take it you don’t?

    Alice: Was it the face, or the spitting it out that gave it away?

    Dana: Bit of both. Do you want me to get you anything else?

    Alice: Nah, I’ll get something while we’re out. You finish your crumpet.

    Dana laughed and finished her crumpet. She took their plates away and washed them, after throwing Alice’s crumpet away. She placed the plates on the draining board and went back into the living room. When she got there, Alice had stood up, and was trying her best to walk. Dana ran to her side and grabbed Alice’s arms before she lost her balance. They sat back down on the couch and Dana held Alice’s hands.

    Dana: What were you trying to do?

    Alice: Well, I thought about running a marathon, but I barely made it out of the room.

    Dana picked up on the sarcasm in Alice’s voice and looked into her eyes.

    1. Very nice chapter, of course, it is strange that they were on vacation in such a weird place, but my question is will Lara find where they are? what did really happen to her? how she survived the fight with Aidan? which side is Aidan and what are his intentions?
      Too many questions. Thanks for the update
