    And I thought that I was cutting to the chase.


    Lying in bed this morning Tina struck a deal with Bette. If Bette agreed to do all of the packing Tina would leave work early so that they could spend their last afternoon in London together. Bette sighed at the idea of doing her own packing, let alone Tinas, but seemed to cheer up slightly after Tina promised she would be rewarded for her efforts later in the day. What form this reward would take, Tina didnt let on.

    So here they were walking along the Embankment looking out on to the Thames. Bette had been strangely quiet since they had met up, but Tina took that to be a slight anxiety about having to go back to LA the next day.

    How do you feel about going back home tomorrow T? asked Bette, hoping that Tina felt better about it than the last time this subject had been raised.

    I was just thinking that youve been fairly pensive this afternoon and was wondering how you felt about the very same thing.

    I think as good as this has been, and it has been incredible, being here with you, that Im ready to go home and Im looking forward to sleeping in my own bed, with you. said Bette, smiling.

    Just sleeping? teased Tina.

    Well, and the rest. laughed Bette.

    I think I want to go home too, now that I have a home to go to. Its taken me a long time to get there Bette, but I think its time.

    And youre ready to face the Alice inquisition? asked Bette.

    Im only spending time with Alice if youre there. Shes scared of you, she wont ask any difficult questions with you around.

    Alice isnt scared of me, she just knows better than to cross any lines with me.

    If thats what you think babe, then you just keep on believing it. But anyway, talking of difficult questions, what did you talk to Kate about? You said you would tell me once youd thought about it and Bette, youve been thinking about it, I can tell. said Tina, fixing her gaze on Bette, not wanting her to distract her from answering her question.

    I think that we should sit down for this.

    OK. replied Tina, warily.

    2. Whoa Bette was practically ready to carry the baby? Damn gina she definitely HAS changed. lol Okay now Tina has to ask for her ring back if she can find a moment to not be a little chickenshit. ;)
