Tossing And Turning – Part 6

“That’s great…” She managed to say.

    “I’ll call you?” Tina asked.

“Sure, this time I promise to pick up.” Bette told her. Tina chuckled.

“Okay, once again sorry for how I acted towards Avila, I shouldn’t have done that…” Tina said.

“It’s okay, she won’t mind once I tell her why you acted like that.” Bette told her.

“Oh, great…” Tina said smiling and shakes her head.

“I am going to go home now.”

“Okay, I’ll call you.” Tina said.

“Yeah, I’ll be waiting. Bye.” Bette said, walking on clouds.

    ———-

Bette was sleeping when she got the weirdest dream…

    *-*-*DreaM*-*-*

    B: Bette Porter speaking.

    T: Hey, it’s Tina.

B (smiling): Hi, how are you?

    T: I’m fine. You?

B: I was good and now I’m even better.

T (chuckling): Flatterer. Tell me, what is your favorite band?

B: You know that. It’s AC/DC. You are the only one that I admit that to.

T: Guess whose concert ticket I’ve got in my hands right now.

    B: You aren’t serious!

T: Yep, I am. You want to come?

     B (all giddy): Of course!

T (chuckling): Great. It’s Thursday. I got them from a friend here at work that didn’t want to go anymore for some reason.

    B: Your friend is crazy.

T: I know. So, is it okay I pick you up Thursday?

B: Yeah, sure… See you then.

    T: Yep, bye.

    B: Bye.

Bette lay her phone down and smiled widely. Tina + AC/DC = heaven. She thought.

    ——-

Bette was one of the only people sitting down during the concert but with her almost 7 month pregnant belly, it wasn’t the most pleasurable thing to stand up for two hours. Now her absolute favorite song began. She jumped up next to Tina. Tina smiled at her and began mouthing the words to Bette:

    She was a fast machine
    She kept her motor clean
She was the best damn woman that I ever seen
    She had the sightless eyes
    Tellin’ me no lies
Knockin’ me out with those American thighs
    Takin’ more than her share
    Had me fighting for air
She told me to come but I was already there
    ‘Cause the walls start shaking
    The earth was quakin’
    My mind was achin’
And we were makin’ it and you –

    1. Nice chapter. The carpenter reference was classic. I like that Bette has a friend outside of the gang that she can talk to about Tina so everyone isn’t interfering in their business. Nice progress in their relationship and how you are moving the story along. Thanks for posting often.

    2. Nice post! Tina’s reaction was awesome…lol did she think Bette had another family? The green eyed monster strikes again. Can’t wait to see what’s next for our girls.

    3. Well, the date seems to have gone well. Interesting dream… why does no one ever seem to reference the Bon Scott era of AC/DC? Pre-1980 AC/DC is classic! Nice chapter, thanks!

    4. I (I) C (can’t) B (be) D (defeated) your name is too long to keep saying typing “thanks I can’t be defeated” It sounds like I’m making bold statement about myself. Thanks for the post and nice touch with the random BFF with a kid to make Tina jealous. Whatever pushes things along 
