    The night continues....

    “Maybe not, but I’m saying you have every right to do so….” Tina quietly says as she continues to play with Bette’s fingers gently.

    Bette sighs and nods. “I get what you’re saying….” She then reaches out and places a stray hair behind Tina’s ear. “And you’re right…I do have a lot of shit going on right now, so I’d be lying if I said that I was ready for something super serious…. we don’t know what this is between us, but it’s something…”

    Tina gently nods. “Absolutely…it’s definitely something…”

    Bette shrugs. “So, we agree that we should very casually figure out what it is…”

    Tina gently smiles. “Yes…treading very lightly…. and privately….”

    Bette laughs. “Yeah. Alice’s head would fucking explode if she found out…” She then interlocks her fingers with Tina’s; her smile fades as they lock eyes. “We also have some pretty deep and muddy waters to get through of our own before we can really get into the serious territory…” Bette gently admits.

    Tina gently nods. “I one hundred percent agree….”

    Bette then rolls on top of Tina. “So just to recap…”

    Tina laughs as she reaches up and plays with Bette’s hair. “One of Bette Porter’s famous recap sessions…”

    “Well, they’re necessary,” she says, smiling while moving Tina’s hair from her face. “We are very casually….”

    “Lightly treading…” Tina says before placing a short but flirtatious kiss on Bette’s lips.

    “Privately…. Dating….” Bette says as she leans in and returns Tina’s kiss.

    “That about sums it up…” Tina quietly says as she gently rubs Bette’s back.

    Their kiss turns very sensual again before Bette gently pulls away and begins to kiss her way down Tina’s body until her head disappears under the sheets.

    Tina’s breath catches as she arches her back against the soft pillows. She reaches down and guides Bette’s head between her legs, savoring the flicks of her tongue against her sensitive skin. …..

    Later, Bette’s eyelids slowly open. She squints at the bedside clock and sees that it’s almost five. Gently, she leans over and presses her lips to Tina’s forehead, causing her to stir in her sleep.

    “I better go, T….” Bette says before sliding from under the sheets and sitting on the edge of the bed.
