    B&T beginning – Chapter 15

    “Bette stayed at the DA’s offices cleaning up the mess and discussing some modifications to the building with one of our teams” Shane explained smiling at Alice’s choice of words.

    “Well when can we go back to our safe houses?” Alice asked again, clearly feeling the toll of such an intense last couple of hours. The blonde had a throbbing head ache and all she was looking forward were two aspirins and a bed, preferably in the company of Agent Fairbanks but then again, life wasn’t always fair to her.

    “Unfortunately not yet, we’ll have to wait here until Bette comes back so we can discuss how your life is going to change… again” Dana elaborated further.

    “Great” Alice said not looking mad or exasperated, just exhausted instead.

    “Do you know how long will she be?” Tina saw her chance to evacuate a very large doubt she was having, without raising any suspicious.

    “I don’t know just yet but I can call her if you’d like me to” Dana politely answered managing to conceal a tiny smile that was threatening to form at the corner of her mouth, since she immediately picked on the true meaning of lawyer’s innocent question.

    “No… thanks but… don’t… bother her I just… never mind” Tina replied as she was stumbling with her words.

    “We’re just tired and would like to go rest somewhere… wherever that might be” Alice quickly came to her rescue.

    “We understand but the events of today will force us to relocate you and to discuss some new security measures with all of you” Shane explained this time.

    “I think we should all get comfortable, would you like anything to drink? I think there should be coffee somewhere” Dana offered.

    “I could definitely use some of that” Cooper said smiling.

    “Yes me too” Peggy added.

    “Alright, I’ll go get coffee and some beverages” Dana added.

    “I’ll go with you” Agent Moore volunteered.

    “Any other questions?” Bette asked as she was having a meeting with all the heads of the different departments of the DA’s office. The brunette waited for a few long seconds and got no replies, just silent stares and some faces still displaying concern. “And let me add that we’ll guaranty all of you that what happened today will not repeat itself again” The brunette added in full Porter mode. “Alright, thank you all for your time” Bette concluded and excused herself from the small group of people that had been listening to her.

    1. Great update. Hopefully now that Bette has re-entered the picture Tina is feeling much better and they get to go home together again. It is time one of them showed how much they care for the other. Can hardly wait to see who the mole is in the office. Thanks for posting.

    4. Anne, wonderful update. I read that two-part episode of Castle was its highest rating. JB did great as Sophia Turner, too bad she was dirty. I am still waiting for an answer to my proposal…well?
