Immediately after that she quickly joined a couple of girls that were patiently waiting for her at the entrance of the building guarding eight rather large boxes.

“Is this all?” She asked them rather surprised and the girls just nodded a yes. “Okay, thank you very much” The brunette sincerely said and the girls just took off.

Good lord, so many papers… I hope everything is in here… The brunette thought to herself as she was loading all the boxes inside the back of the black Range Rover.

An hour later Agent Porter finally walked through the door of that briefing room along with another three other agents, each of them carrying two of the boxes she had brought from the DA’s offices.

At that moment all the lawyers were wondering what the hell was happening now, all of them except for one. Tina wasn’t wondering what the hell was inside those boxes. No. The blonde was just happy and smiling broadly for she was finally able to see the brunette whose absence had kept her on the edge all this time.

God she looks tired… I bet she is… I mean I’m exhausted and I wasn’t shooting at armed men from the top of a mausoleum… Tina thought as her subconscious betrayed her and a bright and big smile formed on her face.

Well at least she looks happy to see me… rrrright Porter, don’t flatter yourself… she’s probably happy to see me cause that means they’ll be able to go rest soon… I’m such an idiot…

“Alright… first of all hi” Bette said finally speaking as the extra agents had left the room.

“Hi” Everyone there replied back, again minus one lawyer who just couldn’t get out of her sweet trance.

“What is inside those boxes?” Alice, as usual, was quicker than anybody else.

“All your case files, paper work… you name it” Peggy replied this time.

“Say what?” The blonde replied surprised.

“Agent Porter requested my authorization to remove everything regarding the case and bring it here… and of course I said yes” Peggy lightly said.

“What for?” Helena asked this time still not making sense of what was happening.

“Well that is what we wanted to discuss with all of you” Bette answered this time, taking a brief pause before continuing. “The events of today, as well as the attempt you suffered a few days ago, proves us even further that either NYPD or the DA’s office have been infiltrated, maybe even both… either way we need to take a step further”
