Uncharted Territory
‘Was that James?’ Tina asks lazy stretching her naked body under the sheets.
‘I’m sorry I didn’t mean to wake you up.’ Placing the tray on the dresser I can’t resist to quickly squeeze the nose of the teddy bear that’s living in her bedroom since last week.
‘It was you leaving the bed that woke me up. Be good like you were last night and come back to bed.’ Sitting up against the headboard she taps on my side of the bed. When we visited that artist he said how beautiful my wife is, little did he know. With her messy hair, flustered cheeks and eyes beaming with afterglow she is stunning. ‘What did he say?’
‘Who?’ I ask confused.
‘James silly.’
‘Oh right.’ Sitting down on the bed and handing her a plate I kiss her shoulder in the process. ‘He informed me about the opening last night. I’ll tell you everything about it later ok? Now you need to eat.’
‘Oeh still bossy.’
‘Uhuh I am, we have plans.’
‘We do?’ She swallows a bite and steals a quick kiss.
‘We can drive to the coast… Normandy maybe? We can take a hotel and stay for the weekend, just you and me. Let’s make new memories.’
‘Let’s… I would love to.’

Tina’s POV
The rays of sun persistently find their way through my eyelashes with my eyes merely ajar. High up in the azure blue sky, a plane is leaving a cotton white trail. From down here, in the soft mantle of warm sand, it resembles a figurine. Placing my hand above my eyes, to shield them from the sun, I follow the birdlike craft. It seems like it’s barely moving and yet in reality it’s covering many miles per minute, taking people to places, wherever their destination might be. As a kid and later too, I used to imagine those people, lucky enough to sit in one of those seats, in the rows of chairs with white antimacassars at the headrests, with the little window overlooking endless skies. I fantasized about the places they were heading, the things they would do and the miracles they would see. I dreamed of faraway places, exotic countries, thrilling cities and mystical sites. Where the food would be seasoned with peculiar spices, the smells divine, the natives friendly and welcoming, the colors vibrant. How I desired back then to be one of those people one day. I imagined them flying to their long lost loved ones, their hearts filled with longing, anticipation and joy. Or going on a honeymoon or a long, well deserved holiday. Or simply going back home.

Welcome back and congratulations with your upcoming wedding! Did you found the perfect rings?
What a way to come back with this story! They are on the right path and they need to keep talking to each other, about their fears, their feelings, about everything what is troubling them, makes them happy. Show each other by little things how much they love each other.
I am very happy Bette didn’t feel threatened anymore by the woman she got to know by searching Google and Tina cheated on Bette with. Still it will sting and hurt sometimes but their is provement.
Thank you for this chapter!
Bibi! Thank you for the wishes and your comments through out the story. The perfect rings are still waiting to be found but it’s just a matter of time ;).

Thank you DumplinT. Hope you enjoyed the chapter. :)
Congratulations! There is nothing better that building a life with the one you love and who loves you in return. May you know a lifetime of happiness.
May Bette and Tina continue to find their way back. It’s still rough for Bette but will hopefully continue to get better. That woman needs to stay away from Tina. Yes, Tina has told her it was a mistake but she needs to continue to be as direct as possible. Oh, and Mrs. Porter was a very nice touch.
Dear Billy. Thank you for your lovely words. And your comment, it means a lot.
Congratulations on your engagement! It was as lovely to hear as seeing this new chapter.
This story is giving me all the feels. I love that Bette doesn’t make herself so sick anymore over that other woman because she is getting more and more confident in her relationship with Tina. She called her Mrs Porter and baby… so lovely <3
Hey Cam!

“Honey, I won’t make it home for dinner we’re about to set Manhattan on fire; I had such an amazing day at work today, we finally killed the mother, it was beautiful; Sorry babe, I gotta run, our monkey’s escaped.”

We’re happy we succeeded to make at least someone laugh with this story haha. Loved your comment, thank you BK!
Ive read all 21 chapters in 2 days, I cried 5 times during it all. I am in awe of this story. It’s honestly so good. <3
Hello Dean,
We’re hoping it doesn’t sound too weird when we say we’re happy and sad at the same time that we made you sad. Not going to appologize though. ;)
Thank you for the uplifting comment!
Besides the rest I particularly loved how you wrote NC-17 scene! How you used jewelry to translate Bette’s layered feelings. This wasn’t sex just for purpose of putting sex in ff, but with a meaning to move story forward. Not to mention that it was hot, far from simplistic description, but truly well written. I don’t think I read similar NC-17 in any other ff.All the ‘ahhhs’, ‘ohhhhs’, ‘yesss’ etc. never bring much to the story for my feeling. Well done!
You are not thinking to finish this story soon, right?
Are you such a troublemaker as your nickname implies?
I’m happy someone noticed the jewelry part, but I don’t share your opinion on NC-17 scenes in other FF’s. There are many amazing writers around here!
Enjoy the next chapter Troublemaker!
