Tina: “it’s going to be fun, and don’t worry about the food; Kit will reserve the best for us”

Willow: “have you done this before”

Bette: “hundreds of times, we are the ones that have more presentations in this group, but everybody does presentations here”

Tina: “yes we have one at least two times per month”

Willow: “how is that, I didn’t know?”

Tina: “sorry, Wil, it was only for the group and you weren’t invited before, but I think mom is considering including you in the future”

Louise is approaching them to start the presentation, everybody takes a seat and the girls start explaining their discoveries. The first point is the amulet, Willow made a historic introduction of the artifact and how it was used fifty-five years ago to defeat evil forces in Sunnydale and how using that knowledge, they have discovered the medallion has two main functions, the more obvious one, is as a light transmitter, to display visible radiations able to produce instantaneous combustion in living entities; who they recently discovered, have certain enzymatic configuration in their inner organs, Bette explained that the radiation emitted produces a photochemical stimulus which could activate, at DNA level, the excessive consumption of oxygen, at cellular dimension, in those enzymes accelerating, in this way, the combustion process of their bodies burning them most the times from inside out, depending where in their bodies the particular enzymatic configuration were located, most types of vampires have that specific enzymatic configuration as part of their powers; when humans change into vampires, their biological system modifies, following a metamorphoses process, classified as a type of epigenetic transition, adopting a vulnerable enzymatic configuration, but when they recover their ‘soul’, which could be understood as partially reversed modification, that enzymatic configuration also partially changes back and they are no longer affected by the radiation displayed by the light of the medallion; so, the girls decided to call that function of the artifact, the activation of the ‘luminous ball’; Bette also specified that they were able of replicate that light-transmitter, and they have now several luminous balls which will be used to fight the Uber-Vamps just by activating the transmitter; the other function of the medallion is more complicated because goes beyond of the current knowledge at that field, however Tina managed to make an initial study; she found out the medallion is also a travel device, a personal ship that could create an instantaneous portal and transport its user to a distant location and, of course, it is now her favorite toy, at this point they make a break for questions.

After the break the next topic was the elusive portal to the Hellmouth and again Willow, this time more relaxed, made the introduction, explaining what was the ’so-called’ Hellmouth, a portion of the wormhole probably created by ancient demons which have the capacity of sheltering millions of evil creatures; she explained, how the scoobies closed it twice and how she had always partial views of the portal that leads there, but never could really find where this was located; Tina explained how they tentatively located the portal and how, when regular probes were sent there, they disappeared; she mentioned also how they had to modify the setting of the probes in order to obtain information and exact location of that portal; Bette gave more details, indicating that the portal to the Hellmouth is located in a region of the wormhole featured with many branches, and they finally remarked that the probes have reported those branches would be possible connections of the Hellmouth with other universes and the evil aliens use those paths as entrances to places they are conquering or have already conquered; Tina specified that the Hellmouth was indeed a section of the wormhole to connect with an evil world, a kind of the main portal to the universe of the evil aliens who have been menacing the human existence at least in the last century; even though there was no direct or clear relation yet with the hecatomb and its related events, it may be, very well,  one of the promoters or perhaps the origin of the destructive event. Finalizing the meeting Louise took the floor and stated that the closing of the Hellmouth and its portals is an imperative necessity to save the planet.
