Cabin weekend – the talk
“Barring any emergencies we should have the next 48 hours to ourselves. We can go into town if you want and we can plan something special for tomorrow night if you still want a date.”
“I already have our date planned for tomorrow.” Tina said matter of factly between bites of her generous sandwich.
“You do?” Bette couldn’t hide her surprise.
“Why do you sound so surprised? Didn’t we decide that I would plan our first date?” Tina asked taking a sip of tea.
“We did, but I just thought that after this week that maybe you wouldn’t want to have a date.”
“Why wouldn’t I? I don’t want to break up with you Bette. Is that what you thought?” Now Tina couldn’t hide the surprise in her tone.
“I wasn’t sure what to think Tee. All I know is that I really missed you this past week. I hated not being able to call you or see you.”
“I missed you too. I know it wasn’t really fair to you and it’s not the best way to deal with our problems, but I just felt like we needed the space.”
“Well it certainly gave me a lot of time to think about us and to realize that what we have is very precious to me. I don’t want to lose you Tee.”
“I don’t want to lose you either babe. Whether we make it as partners or not I want your friendship. I want you in my life. That’s why we need to try to resolve things now while we have something that is salvageable. I want to stop running from you Bette … from ‘us’. I want to explore these feelings that I have for you. I want to see where they lead. I’ve never opened my heart to love and I’m scared babe but I never wanted to let you go completely.”
“I don’t want to let you go either Tee. I’d like to explore the feelings I have for you but I have to admit that I’m scared too. We have a good thing Tee but I feel like we’re losing some of that and possibly damaging a great friendship. I don’t want to risk that. I hate how that makes me feel.”

More! Loved it, thanks
BAT I think you saved your best writing for this chapter! Of course your writing is already superb!
Loved that Tina seemed to ease Bette’s insecurities and she called Bette out on inviting Sam when Bette was worried about Tina going further with Helena. Time for both to move forward trusting each other. Can’t wait for the date Tina has planned ; )
Loved it BAT!! Excellent!!
“…If they didn’t stop soon they would be making love on the grass in front of the beautiful lake.” What’s so wrong with that !
What a great chapter. You’re a talented writer. I love the way that you thoroughly develop the characters and explain their thinking and motivation.
My God! This chapter was excellent .for little
B & T almost make love on the lake,.
Very good they take your questions with this
conversation was very enlightening.
Bette and Tina beautiful movement sleep in the same

10 Stars.
To start your Author’s Notes with ‘Sorry to disappoint’ could not be more wrong! You do not ever ‘disappoint’!
This was a superb chapter, Thank you for not having any annoyed walking off scene.
The conversation by the Lake was great especially how you interwove some of the Show’s script but with the characters dialogue exchanged. Thanks also for the lovely explanation of ‘I know what I am and what to do with it’!
Loved it BAT and cannot wait for Weekend at the Cabin part 2!
As mscully says ’10 stars’!
Loved this chapter – like SG said, the interweaving of script with your storyline was genius. Thank you for posting.
