In the bathroom there was a basket of aromatherapy bath oils, bubble bath, sponges, creams, lotions, shampoos etc. There were several fluffy towels in a variety of sizes from bath mats to wash cloths. There was a terry cloth robe and matching slippers hanging on a hook behind the bathroom door. It was obvious that the caretakers had prepared the cabin for Bette’s arrival. Tina couldn’t help but think again how perfect a setting for an intimate romantic evening of lovemaking.
She shook the thoughts from her head and unpacked her bag, putting the few casual items in drawers and hanging her evening attire in the closet. She noticed a few of Bette’s clothing items already occupying some of the space. She went into the bathroom to freshen up and changed into shorts and a light t-shirt. She slipped her bare feet into slippers and went back to the kitchen to help with lunch noticing that Bette too had changed her clothes and was wearing similar attire.
“Did you find everything you need in the bedroom and bath Tee?”
“Yes. Everything is perfect. Thank you. What are you making?”
“I just started on a green salad. I thought we could make sandwiches and have some fresh fruit for dessert.”
“That sounds good. I’ll make the sandwiches. What kind would you like?”
“Whatever you’re having is fine.”
They had purchased fresh baked loafs and a variety of cold cuts, cheeses and condiments. Tina made the sandwiches while Bette finished up with the salad and cut up the fruit sampling bits of the ones she wasn’t familiar with. They took the prepared food and a couple bottles of flavored iced teas and sit down at the table on the deck to eat.
They eat silently and stare out at the lake, but this time the silence is companionable as they are both just savoring the ambiance. The outdoor temperature was rising but they had the ceiling fans on in the enclosed deck which made it very comfortable and bug free.
“This is heavenly Bette. I’m glad you suggested this getaway. It’s the perfect place for us to talk and get to know each other better without any distractions from the outside world.”

Loved that Tina seemed to ease Bette’s insecurities and she called Bette out on inviting Sam when Bette was worried about Tina going further with Helena. Time for both to move forward trusting each other. Can’t wait for the date Tina has planned ; )

This was a superb chapter, Thank you for not having any annoyed walking off scene.
The conversation by the Lake was great especially how you interwove some of the Show’s script but with the characters dialogue exchanged. Thanks also for the lovely explanation of ‘I know what I am and what to do with it’!
