    WESTERN SKIES

Tina – We had an argument.

    Jen – About the movie?

    Tina – No.

Jen – The two of you seemed chummy that day at the bar.

    The producer raises her eyebrows.

    Tina – Chummy?!

    The assistant smiles.

Jen – I was sitting in front of you, remember? I couldn’t help but notice.

The blonde presses her lips together.

Jen – I saw her watching you when you left with Brian. She didn’t look happy!

Tina turns to her with curiosity.

    Tina – Really?!

    Jen nods.

Jen – She left the bar not a minute later looking upset. (pause) Has she fallen for you?

    Tina chuckles.

Tina – What makes you think that she could fall for me?

Jen – She is a lesbian. I take that her interest would not be directed at Brian!

The producer laughs, a nervous laugh.

    Tina – Definitely not!

    Jen – Her jealousy would.

The blonde shakes her head dismissively.

Jen – Does it have anything to do with the night you disappeared?

    Tina presses her lips together.

Jen – You said that you woke up early that day but your car was covered in dew when I arrived at the ranch. You’ve been different since that day.

Tina – And you are turning into a Sherlock, aren’t you?

Jen – Sorry … I was worried about you.

They are silent for a moment.

Tina – Nothing happened that day.

Jen – Brian said that she went back to California … did she?

    The blonde nods.

Jen – Is this why you are so sad?

    The producer glances at her.

Tina – Sherlock … you are scaring me …

    The assistant smiles.

    Jen – Sorry … It’s elementary …

    They laugh.

Tina – Am I that elementary?

Jen – To me. You only have one speed at work: full speed ahead! This is the first time that I see you this way.

    Tina looks pensive.

Tina – Who else is wondering about me?

    Jen – I didn’t talk to anyone.

    Tina – Thanks!

She drives in silence for a moment longer.

Tina – Did you say jealousy?

    Jen smirks.

    Jen – Totally!

The blonde keeps driving. A slight smile appears on her face.

    2. Hi! Thanks for the great chapter!

I must say i like this kiss much more, than previous between them. And i glad that Bette told Tina about Joanna.
By the way – i can’t decide which Bette i like more – cowgirl or artgirl.

    3. Oh, I can see this amazing kiss scene like one of Bette’s paints – with a large palette of colours and true emotions…
Beautiful and full of meaning, like art depicting love and passion.

Minnie and Charlie will be so happy and proud of their beloved riders !
Here I cannot resist to a play on words – french words : this story is told in a cavalier (= rider) perspective *wink*

A new reading delight, slowly painted – the way I prefer – and being savoured, I can assure you !
      Thank you so much…
      A.
