    Tina – I have a flight back to Colorado at 12 pm. The brunette frowns. Bette – What?! Tina – Yeah … I hate it! Bette – What time is it? The blonde looks at the clock on the nightstand. Tina – One thirty-six. Bette – I thought we would have the weekend. Tina shakes

    Tina – I have a flight back to Colorado at 12 pm.

    The brunette frowns.

    Bette – What?!

    Tina – Yeah … I hate it!

    Bette – What time is it?

    The blonde looks at the clock on the nightstand.

    Tina – One thirty-six.

    Bette – I thought we would have the weekend.

    Tina shakes her head.

    Tina – I have to work tonight.

    Bette – So … you just came here to seduce me?

    Tina – Me?! Of course not …

    Bette turns her around and tops her.

    Bette – You, naughty liar … tell the truth!

    The blonde laughs.

    Tina – As I said, you kissed me and left me dreaming …

    She plays with Bette’s hair.

    Tina – And then I saw the painting …

    She caresses Bette’s shoulder.

    Tina – I spent a week without sleep! I had to do something about it …

    The brunette kisses her neck.

    Tina – But I didn’t know that you were not with Joanna that night. And I didn’t know if I’d find you with a girlfriend … or two. One way or another, I was going to get an answer yesterday.

    Bette – Did you get your answer?

    The blonde smirks.

    Tina – It so happens that I found you with many naked women on your walls … and who knows how many more buzzing around in the exhibition.

    Bette – Does it bother you?

    Tina – Since you don’t use models, I’d be lying if I said it doesn’t concern me.

    Bette – I don’t always paint nudes. This is a phase in my life.

    Tina – I’m less concerned about the paintings than the women behind the paintings. (pause) Are they still in your life?

    Bette – Not in any meaningful way.

    Tina presses her lips together.

    Tina – Is a nightstand meaningless to you?

    Bette – Maybe I should be more clear … I’m not fucking anyone.

    Tina – I’m not judging you. It’s just … I want to know where we stand. Are we just a … fun nightstand to you?

    The brunette traces her finger on the blonde’s neck.

    Bette – No. Not to me.

    She bites her lower lip.
