    What If – Chapter 10 (B)

    Los Angeles Tennis Club…..

Dana: [taking a seat at the bar]

Carrie: [smiling greeting her] Hey, Dane how’s my favorite customer and tennis player?

Dana: Great, had a nice workout and now I’m looking forward to ruining it.

Carrie: [laughing] What can I get for you?

Dana: [in a dry tone] Uh, let’s see my usual and an order of your finest dead animal on the menu.

Carrie: One Vodka and cranberry juice and ten buffalo chicken wings coming up.

    Dana: Don’t forget the ranch.

Carrie: Riddle me this if I were dressed like a cowgirl I’d be?

Dana: [smiling getting the joke] Ranch dressing.

Carrie: [in a sarcastic tone] Comical isn’t it.

Dana: [shaking her head] You’ll never get a job working for Hallmark.

Carrie: [laughing] Why do you think I bartend hocus, pocus, I’m brokus it pays the bills and did the trick……[she says pointing at her] you smiled.

Dana: [smiling] Thanks, I needed that.

Carrie: Yeah, I could tell whatever is bothering you hope you feel better I’m going to place your order and will be back with your drink.

Dana: Thanks. [while she waited for her food and drink she looks down the table noticing a woman sipping on an intriguing drink.]

Swaying back and forth if you didn’t know any better one would assume she stood in the eye of a category 5 hurricane. Just when she thought she was going to lose her balance and fall over she managed to stay on her feet never spilling a drop of her drink….. a real professional in her book. Witnessing such talent she secretly became her new role model and she vowed to be just like her when she grew up. Never seeing the drink before she assumed it was recently added to the menu the way she swayed back and forth after the day she had she wanted to sway too!

Carrie: [placing her drink in front of her] Here you go just the way you like it your wings will be up in a few is there anything else I can get for you?

Dana: [after taking a sip grimaces] Ahhhhhhhh, taste like someone pole vaulted down my throat!

Carrie: Too strong I can remake it for—–.

Bette: [cutting her off] Just the way I like it!

    1. That really sucks when your hard drive crashed, i am very relieved you were able to get your stories back.

Jenny really is a nut case but sometimes so funny.

Dana and Alice, they are playing with fire, both their girlfriends have very beautiful women who are interested in them, but both are still insecure what to do or what they feel.

Bette is so funny in your story, i love her like that. Glad she told Tina to listen to her and make her feel and listen to her reasons.

I am looking forward to the next update!

      • As a computer engineer I should have known better!!!!! Needless to say, it will be a cold day in hell before I buy another Seagate external hard drive or any of their products lesson learned!!! I spent numerous hours recovering my data but glad it worked out in the end. (whew)! Be on the lookout for a more out spoken Bette as the story continues.

    2. Hi Skunk:

Wow, very nice chapter, Alice has to decide what to do, and as she told Bette, she doesn’t know who she would choose, Tasha or Dana; and Dana is in a similar situation; ln the other hand Tasha is having a big temptation in Philadelphia, and if it wasn’t for Alice message ‘I love you’, she would keep going, accepting it without regret; about Lara, well, she has her options too.

Honestly, everybody should make a deep evaluation of their feelings and do not choose the easy and comfy way when is about emotions; but to listen to their hearts and use their brains and will to face the future, as Bette and Tina who already took a decision and are resolved to commit on it.

Okay, about Jenny, I already told you, why the girls have to stop Bette and Tina from killing Jenny, at least we would know ‘who killed Jenny’ and everybody would be happy. Someone has to leave a banana peel in the way of Jenny, close to the barbecue pit and see if she burns. I’ll wait eagerly for the update, pps.

      P

      • Like a Mario Kart banana peel? LOL!!!! Jenny is by far the hardest character for me to write for because she gets on my damn nerves!!!!! Seriously, when I write for her I have to down a few shots and two glasses of wine!!!!!!!!!

When I started writing this story initially it was because I always wondered if Dana never died would she and Alice down the line rekindle their romance even though Lara and Tasha were in the picture? Instead of Dana vs. Tasha it turned into me including my real life experience in the story. Can a person genuinely be in love with two people? One of the hardest lessons I had to learn is acknowledging the difference between “being in love” and “loving” someone which is what I am trying to convey in the story.
