What If: Chapter 3

“Wow, you really out done yourself, “she says looking at all the food, “Thank you.”
“Your welcome, you ready to eat?”
“I sure am, “she says taking a seat, “Well you know how my day went how was yours?”
“It was okay I went to visit Bette she gave me a tour of the upcoming art gala.”
“Oh, yes of course how was it?”
“It was nice, she asked if we both we’re coming and I reassured we were.” As soon the words left Danas mouth Lara got a sinking feeling in her stomach.
“Dane, uh about that I don’t know——–.”
“Oh, no you don’t Lara you promised!”
“Babe, I know but I have some very important investors coming in from Tokyo who are very much interested in being silent partners if I can close this deal I can build and design the restaurant as I see fit.”
“You know since we’ve been here I’ve been nothing but supportive the only thing I asked was for you to attend Bettes gala art exhibit with me and you promised you’d be there.”
“Dane, I know and trust me this was not planned hell I even tried to reschedule another date or time but it didn’t fall through!
“You know I may not be the one physically opening a restaurant but you being by my side at the event is just as important to me!”
“Dane, I know it is but——-.”
“Then if you know why can’t you be there?” Lara was at a loss for words she knew Dana would be hurt with her not able to attend Bettes art gala. Dana had been nothing but supportive and although her decision wasn’t meant to hurt her on purpose she knew she was coming off as selfish. The longer it took Lara to answer the more agitated and angry Dana became. Shaking her head she gets up from the table walking towards their bedroom.
“Dana where are you going? You haven’t even touched your food?”
“I’ve lost my appetite, “she says closing the door behind her.

A good read, thanks
Loved the update!
Poor Alice, they all forget about their appointments with her.
Looking forward to read more.
It seems that Dana and Lara seems to have made peace, so far.
And what will be the reaction of Alice when faced with Dana? though
I think Alice should stay with Tasha.
And our couple Bette and Tina, who are only in love.
All Stars.
Hi Skunk:
What a chapter; they (Tina, Shane, Bette, etc) are very wrong, how could they neglect her friend Alice to take care of Dana; and how Tasha could do that to Alice, everybody is lying trying to avoid hurting Alice but that is precisely what they are doing, hurting her. Things are getting very interesting.
