She stares at me and squints her eyes at me “Why do you not want to tell Tina you are joining her”

Well I figured that was coming but I freeze and because I do Maddie goes in for the kill

“Oh my God Momma!…You have feelings for  her don’t you?..I always thought it was one sided from Tina’s side but I never thought about you having feelings for her”

Ok I’m just flabbergasted right now.. Now how in the hell did she know that.  I never said anything to her about Tina and my feelings or Tina’s feelings

“Wait.  How did you know Tina had feelings for me?”

She rolls her eyes and takes a big swig of her water.  She wipes her mouth with her napkin and shakes her head “Momma the woman had a crush on you since I can remember…  I was so enamored with Tina right?…I wanted to be her you know so I studied her a lot.  And it was obvious she adored you.  I really saw it more as I got older”

I shake my head.  “How come I was the only one that didn’t know”

“Wait.  What do you mean?  You never saw how she looked at you?”

I shook my head

“God Momma you are so clueless it’s funny”

“Wait.  You aren’t bothered by it.  I want you to know I never cheated on your Mom”

Maddie scoffs “I know that.  I knew Tina would never do anything to hurt us like that.  She isn’t that type of person and I knew you loved Mom.  That never entered my mind but the fact you never noticed is really mind boggling.  So you must love her if you are going to move where she is”

I sigh “Maddie I do have really strong feelings for her.  I always have.  And I guess I could say I love her but I am not going there to jump right into a relationship.  I’m not ready and it’s not fair to Tina.  I want to grow and build our friendship first and then hopefully she will want to move forward with something more”

Maddie smirks “Trust me.  I don’t think she will turn you down.  If I had collected all the drool that came from her mouth over you I could fill every ocean and even then I would have some left over”
