She cried for days in loosing you. We all had to rally around her to keep her calm and sane. What she did to you hit her hard, very hard emotionally… She never signed the papers and has no intentions to. And, she put herself into therapy rather abruptly. She’s gone weekly since she received the papers.
But there is something else that you need to know that’s very important.” Kit began, taking in a deep breath and trying to find the right words to explain things. “Her hormones contributed to all the extreme emotions she was going through… and… well, there’s no easy way to say this… She’s pregnant with your baby…” Kit shared with her sister and watched as the information sunk into her sister’s mind and heart. Bette lost her coloring as she sat there gazing into the staring off into the space front of her.
Tears filled her eyes as the information sunk in. She looked at her sister with questioning eyes. Kit pulled her into her for a long hug. Bette spoke softly feeling the shock of the information sinking into her heart. “I don’t understand it, Kit, she pushed me away… How could she be pregnant with my baby? I didn’t have anything to do with its creation. It’s not mine.”
“Oh, Baby Girl… she is. Tina used Marcus’ sperm to create her. She didn’t tell you because life went to hell in a hand basket before she could and she knows that she’s to blame for the chasm of space between you. She’s suffered from depression all her life but didn’t share that with you. She was abused by her older sister and is finally getting the proper counseling for it and trying to work through it. After the miscarriage she suffered from post partum depression… another thing she didn’t share.
Feeling bad and partially guilty for your departure, I didn’t want to leave her stranded in being a single mom since you had disappeared, so we decided to live together in the house as the baby is due this month. I told her that I was going to see a friend in Florida for the weekend. Alice and Tasha are watching over her for me. I’m going to assist her with the baby as much as I can as I feel responsible for this as well.”

I’m a little confused I thought Bette would be excited about the baby and trying to get to Tina but she is like denying the child its like she has moved on…..I’m still loving the story though you have my support still
Great chapter. Hopefully Bette will feel towards Tina when she hears from her about what was bothering her all those years that caused all that passive-aggressive behaviour. Bette still loves her but at the moment she is just simply overwhelmed. I think when she reads Tinas email she will better understand and appreciate

Well, Bette had no part in Ozzie’s creation either, and she wanted to adopt him within a day of meeting him. Maybe she’d have to meet the baby to have a connection, but then again, that would mean she had to deal with Tina. If that isn’t something she wants or is prepared to do, she should probably be upfront about it. Staying in NY and asking Kit to keep her location quiet is a fairly clear message that she’s moved on. Thanks
