It was a simultaneous reaction the way they moved their heads closer together, resting their forehead on one another. An instant smile spread on both of their faces and their eyes closed on instinct. The breathed in the scent of each other, the moment between them becoming more sexual by the second.

"Bette" Tina whispered as she felt Bette graze her nose against her own, her heart beating rapidly against her chest. She swallowed hard as she felt Bette tilt her head and the warm breath of her girlfriend fanning her cheek. "Baby, I have to tell you something"

It was as if Bette was pulled from a trance, her eyes slowly cracking open as she pulled back. She looked into Tina’s eyes, her own dark and heavy with lust. The hardest thing Tina had to do was force herself to speak when all she wanted to do was kiss her girlfriend until she was left without air.

"Look I just . ." Tina began, her lips quivering suddenly with nerves and the sadness she felt for what she was about to apologize for. She swallowed again, "I wanted to apologize for what I said to you about Angie"

"Tina" Bette said softly, her tone laced with pain. She shook her head as she felt her eyes burn with tears, "It’s okay. Don’t worry about it"

"No, it’s not okay. You’re every bit a mother to Angie as I am" Tina brought her hand to Bette’s cheek just in time to catch a tear making it’s way down. She swiped it away with her thumb, "I was angry and confused but I shouldn’t have said that. I’m sorry"

Bette nodded as another tear slipped down her cheek and pulled the blonde into a tight hug. It was then that tears began to fall from Tina’s eyes too and she shut them tightly as the droplets rolled down her cheeks.

"I didn’t mean it, I swear" Tina cried as, pressed her face into Bette’s shoulder, holding her girlfriend even tighter. "You’re just as much a part of her as I am and I want you to know that. I want you to know how important you are to both of us and how sorry I am for what I said"
