    *** “What are you doing?” Alice jumped at the sound of Dana’s voice but never moved from her spot. Behind Bette’s small potted tree the corner. “What we came here to do” She replied simply, continuing to peek through the gap in the leaves. She watched Kevin as he interacted briefly with Bette and Tina,

    Alice jumped at the sound of Dana’s voice but never moved from her spot. Behind Bette’s small potted tree the corner.

    “What we came here to do” She replied simply, continuing to peek through the gap in the leaves. She watched Kevin as he interacted briefly with Bette and Tina, making small talk with other guests before finding solace in the company of Tim, Bette‘s next door neighbor and the only other man in the house. She watched as they laughed at some sports related joke, making a mental note that Kevin was into sports.

    Dana couldn’t help but smile at her wife with a roll of her eyes, “You do know that Tina said to be discreet”

    “Exactly what I’m doing Dane. I haven’t moved from this spot since Kevin came in, not even to use the bathroom. I’m beyond stealth”

    Oh yeah, a real ninja. Dana rolled her eyes again, pressing her lips together to laugh at her wannabe spy of a wife. She didn’t have the heart to tell her that while her head was somewhat obstructed by the leaves, the rest of her body was completely exposed. The trunk of the tree was simply not wide enough.

    She would keep that to herself though.

    “Oh my God” Alice replied in a whisper as she parted the leaves for a better look, “He’s totally checking out Tina!”

    “What?!” Dana whispered as she practically jumped on her wife’s back, peering through the opening in the leaves despite her earlier observation about the hiding place.

    “Yeah, look” Alice gestured her head in Kevin’s direction. Every so often his eyes would glance over at Tina, lingering in places they shouldn’t before returning to Tim. “That assbag. He made it seem like he just wants to get to know Angie meanwhile he’s making eyes at Tina. I bet he wants her back too. We should tell Bette”

    “Whoa, hold on babe” Dana stepped back, making sure to keep her voice down. “We don’t know that for sure. Tina’s beautiful. For all we know he’s just being a man. We can’t just jump to conclusions and say something to Bette without hard facts”

    “I do not jump to conclusions” Alice turned to look at her wife, the expression on Dana’s face confirmed what she had just denied. “Okay you’re right, let’s keep spying”

      Kevin annoying me, can we get rid from him already? Don’t trust him, and i think he wants Tina more, than be Angie father.
      And Angie – what a smart girl, i would prefer hugging Bette than Kevin too)

    5. Let’s not refer to Kevin as Angie’s father.. Sperm donor would be more appropriate.. Tina should restructure the divorce settlement. Instead of joint custody he just should get supervised visitation rights. He never paid child support anyway.

      Enjoyed this chapter too. Kevin is a trip, I knew he was going to be MESSY AS HELL with his jealousy and resentment of Bette. Losing Tina was on him, he LOST her and now he wants her back. BOY BYE…ain’t nobody got time for Kevin!!!!

      Kevin, dude your FOCUS should be on Angie and trying to connect with her…if that is your REAL INTENTIONS. Go take care of your Mama and keep it moving. :)

      Great moment for them as a lil family when Angie had her first steps, how cute!
