Bette’s sexy smirk grew just a bit wider and Tina felt her heart skip a beat, “It’s about to get a whole lot better”
Without another word, Bette reached into her bag and pulled out a long velvet case. Tina’s breath caught in her throat.
“I know you said that you didn’t want anything for your birthday” Bette spoke, suddenly shy as she slid the box across the table to Tina, “So let’s just call this a congratulatory gift for wrapping your movie”
Tina’s eyes flicked back from the box to Bette, completely speechless. She gently took the box, her eyes welling up with tears before she even had a chance to peer at the contents. She opened the box slowly as if she would break it, the sight of what was inside causing her to gasp.
“Oh Bette” Tina covered her mouth with a hand, the other holding the box. She looked down at the most beautiful diamond bracelet she had ever seen, it’s spiral design and rose gold links making the diamonds stand out.
“Do you like it?” Bette asked despite the obvious look in Tina’s eyes. She had felt confident in her purchase but there was something so nerve racking about actually giving the gift to Tina. She wanted the blonde to love it as much as she had hoped she would.
Tina met Bette’s eyes instantly, her hazel orbs causing any uncertainty the brunette felt to vanish. “I love it”
Bette’s smile widened, “Really?”
Tina nodded enthusiastically before her gaze returned to the bracelet in her hand, her hands gently trying to remove it from the velvet box.
“Here let me”
Bette was on her feet in an instant to take the bracelet from Tina in an effort to help put it on. In her excitement, Tina released the bracelet before it was actually over Bette’s hand and both women watched as it fell onto the carpeted floor. Embarrassed, Tina covered her face with her hands and rushed out multiple apologies to which Bette couldn’t help but laugh at. She carefully dropped to her knees to retrieve the piece of jewelry, opting to remain on her knees until she fastened the clasp onto her girlfriend’s slender wrist.
Bette tried not to put too much thought into her position yet her mind couldn’t help but think of the day when she would be knelt beside Tina again, putting on yet another piece of jewelry. Her body warmed with the idea alone, excitement coursing through her veins with the thought of someday making Tina her wife.

I understand why Tina tried be friends with Kevin, but i think she need to stop be so naive about him. She alredy understand it, after his drunk appearance, but maybe it’s too late – he’s already made his plans about Angelica.

I think that Kevin, how stupid he is, understand that no judge gives him custody of Angelica. So i think he might to try another, illegal way to take Ange.

So glad Tina got wise to his lil game to win her back. After ABANDONING Tina and Angie and having NO RELATIONSHIP with his child, I can’t see a Court giving him any rights…he would have to have supervise visitation at best.

Great birthday dinner with the Bracelet and the understanding that a proposal is coming one day…cute! I wished she would have told Bette about Kevin showing up drunk and looking to reconcile, but I understand NOT wanting to ruin their time together after a tough couple of weeks. I know Bette is gonna lose it when she finds out what Kevin is up to. She is very protective of Tina and Angie!

Ugh. Kevin is grinding my gears lol! I wish he’d just disappear and let Bette take over as the second parent role officially. Seems as if she has anyway. Ohhhh and I hope that’s a foreshadowing of a soon-to-be proposal! Love your stories. :)

Any chance u would make a sequel out of “as good as it gets” and continue with “never say never”? I am curious what kind of life does Tibette have with Tina become a famous singer and bette as a famous producer in as good as it gets or how Tina could finally fall in love with bette in never say never…i have to say from all of Tibette’s stories that i’ve read only in never say never Tina and Alice was sister.. and it’s quit refreshing..:D
