Initially, Janice had attempted to gain Bette’s attention as well as her affection, doing everything she could think of to catch Bette’s eye. Unfortunately the brunette had been quite the player during their time spent at Stanford and had repeatedly told Janice that she didn’t want to ruin what they shared. Bette hadn’t exactly been the commitment type and she cherished her relationship with Janice too much to risk losing it.
Though Bette had valid reasons, Janice had always seen them as utter bullshit. She knew that if Bette had given her the time of day, she would have been everything the brunette needed. Bette would have never strayed, Janice was sure of it.
No matter how hard she tried to get Bette to give her a chance, the brunette never wavered so eventually Janice gave up on her mission and opted for the next best thing. She became a friend to the woman who had unknowingly stolen her heart.
"Hellooooo! Earth to Janice!"
Janice blinked back to reality and was greeted with another adorable sight, Alice’s baby boy hovering right in front of her face.
"What are you guys doing here?" Janice laughed as she took the baby from Alice and held him close to her body, smiling down at him before looking back up at her friends.
"Its chili day" Alice said excitedly as she pulled the baby bag off her shoulder and placed it on the seat beside her.
"I swear she eats just as much now as she did before Nathan was born" Dana couldn’t help but roll her eyes as she folded up the stroller and leaned it against a pillar beside the table. She took a seat as Shane and Carmen went to the counter to place everyone’s order before rejoining the group.
"We saw Bette in the parking lot" Alice said as she handed Janice a pacifier for Nathan.
"Yeah, she uh . . had plans with Tina" Janice said sadly, feeding the baby his pacifier.
While everyone fell into easy conversation, Janice focused more on the baby in her arms. She watched the way Nathan wrapped his tiny hand around her index finger, his curious green eyes roaming all over his surroundings. Their eyes met eventually and though it was hard to describe, Janice could see the love reflected in those gorgeous emerald orbs.

Janice needs to kick rocks, but it appears Bette is now in the same boat as Janice. As for Tina, I am confident she will come to her senses and when Bette’s magic fingers make their way a little further north there will be no denying her attraction to another woman. Loving this story…PPS

Maybe Bette should give Janice a chance. Why people always chase after someone who is not that into them totally missing someone who is right under their nose and can be right for them?
Great update. Feel sorry for both of them. They need to talk to each other, if not now, then after the baby is born, which should be very close. Tina needs to tell Bette about her feelings which she is not sure of or doesn’t quite understand. And Bette needs to admit her feelings as well. Bette doesn’t want to scare or rush Tina but, they do need to talk. Neither of them should give up, especially Bette. Janice so needs to just go away and leave Bette alone. Great story. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for another chapter! :-) … Though its such a not so happy one as you made me join Bette in the ride of “emotional roller coaster” and I just hope that you won’t make her ride it together with Janice, and make “one thing lead into another” – you know?! :-o … if so, please don’t break any tibetter’s heart… By giving a warning in advance maybe?! :-D LOL yup! Ah I am so in love with this fic! Bette will get Tina sooner or later. Maybe in the delivery room when Tina sees Bette with the baby, she’ll fall in love with her right there. Ugh! I can’t wait to see what happens!! PPS!!
Awww! Poor Bette I wish she had gotten to say what she really ment then maybe Tina would have given it a try since she is having feelings toward Bette also. PPS

Dang I feel sorry for Bette……..she is on a rollercoaster with Tina she so high and happy then tinas like yeah were good friends and Bette just goes down and is sad……too bad Tina is just reducing her feelings to hormones hopefully her hormones will get out of control one day and she will step to Bette or she will just prove after the baby that she still have those feelings then she acts on it…she is close right
Your story telling always leaves me sated but wanting more all the same. Can’t wait for more. I can’t imagine falling for someone who is pregnant. But then in the next breath I could fall head over heels with the process and being apart of it. And well if that woman is extremely beautiful that would definitely help. Waiting for more.
I understand Tina because pregnant women in the pregnancy you’re hormone level are high. But maybe after the baby is born she can see much clearer. She can blame her hormone level then. Amazing story. Thank you and PPS

I feel so bad for Bette. She really is trying to keep her feelings in control so that she doesn’t get hurt but it’s not working. She may be determined to be Tina’s best friend but it’s not going to change the way she feels. I hope Tina doesn’t take too long to realize that she has feelings for Bette too. And then there’s Janice…..she worries me. She’s a bit creepy. I really hope Bette doesn’t get involved with her to take her mind off Tina.

Should Bette try to move on from her feelings for Tina, that’s likely when Tina will start to realise what she’s feeling for Bette. Janice, she’s probably going to let the cat out of the bag at some point. Drama coming! Thanks for posting. :)
