Kit ”Yeah, we’re still boarding the Peabody Air Express the hell outta here.  Probably the last time though given Helena’s situation.”

The door knocks.  Mark looks through the peephole and then opens it.  Bette and Tina arrive.

Alice ”Hey, you two.”

Tina ”Hey.”

Kit ”You heard back from Henry?”

Tina ”…Not since he left.  He decided to take a red eye flight back to L.A. so Bette and I could talk.”

Bette ”He didn’t want to be in the way.  But don’t worry, your dear Mangus is looking after little Angie as we speak.”

Alice smiles.

Alice ”So you two…?”

Bette and Tina look at one another.

Tina ”We’re…trying to work things out so Bette can still be an adoptive parent.”

Bette ”We’re both gonna talk with Joyce Wischnia and try to get all this mess sorted out.”

Tina ”I don’t think Henry wants to be in the way of that.”

There is another knock on the door.  This time Tina answers, opening.  Helena walks in and gives a kiss to Bette’s left cheek, then Tina’s right cheek.

Helena ”Thanks to both of you for everything last night.”

Mark ”Last night?”

Bette ”Helena and I talked and then Tina called and we all wound up at her room with Henry gone.”

Mark ”Girls night out, huh?”

Helena ”It was something positive out of this…disaster of a trip.  I’m truly sorry, everyone.  This is not what I had in mind when I planned this.”

Mark ”Things never really go according to plan when Shane’s involved.”

Helena ”Well, no matter.  We’ll all be leaving for the airport soon and we can leave all this behind.  And I…get to figure out where I go from here.”

Alice ”I think we all do.”

Helena ”Lara?  Are you…feeling alright this morning?  I mean…all things considered…?”

Lara ”…I just wanna speak to Carmen.”

Lara stands.

Lara ”Excuse me.”

Lara makes her way through the crowd and enters the bathroom, slamming the door behind her.  The ferocity of the slam is enough to send a nervous jolt through everyone else.

Bette ”I had no idea. Did any of you?”

Alice ”Um…guys?  I really don’t wanna talk about it, either.”

Alice goes back to packing her and Lara’s belongings as everyone else quietly leaves the room, with Bette leaving last, but not before turning back to Alice.
