Bette ”Alice.”

Alice looks up at Bette.

Bette ”Anytime you or Lara need to talk.”

Alice nods.  Bette exits the room.  With everyone gone, Alice stands and makes her way to the bathroom, opening the door and seeing Lara seated on the closed lid of the toilet, her arms still crossed and the emotional pain quite evident on her face.  Alice walks up to Lara and drops to her knees, placing her hands around the back of Lara’s neck.

Alice ”Hey.  They’re all gone.”

Lara ”…”

Alice ”Let’s just…get through the rest of the day…get back to L.A. and we’ll try to figure this out.  Alright?”

Lara nods.

Alice ”Lara…your friends care about you a lot.”

Lara ”I just…want to speak…to Carmen.”

Alice ”I know, baby.  I know.  But let’s just get through this first.  Okay?”

Lara ”…Okay.”

Alice brings Lara’s face up to hers and kisses her softly on the lips and strokes her face with her hands.

Alice ”I’ll finish up the packing.”

Lara closes her eyes with tears beginning to fall.  Alice wipes them away as best she can.

Alice ”It’s gonna be okay.  I know it sounds like bullshit, but it’s gonna be okay.  Come on.”

Alice stands up, bringing Lara up with her.  For Alice, her own pain has become secondary to helping Lara get through hers as they exit the bathroom together.

Elsewhere, Bette is in her room, finishing up her packing as she receives a phone call from Phyllis.  Monday, her new career begins.

Everyone boards the Peabody jet.  They all fly to Los Angeles and land safely at L.A.X.  Alice, Helena, Lara, Bette, Tina, Kit, Angus, Mark, Tonya, Marina, and Francesca are all back.  Mark says little to anyone as he departs, only wanting to get back to his apartment in the hopes that either Shane or Carmen are there while fearful that both are there with all Hell breaking loose.  Meanwhile, Alice is there to help Helena adjust to her suddenly humbled lifestyle while Lara remains silent.

Mark arrives and the apartment is empty.  Shane’s stuff is still there.  Carmen’s stuff is still there.  Neither appear to have returned however.  Mark takes out his cellphone and punches in some keys.

Mark ”Shane, it’s Mark.  Call me.  Let me know you’re still alive.  Thanks.”
