Henry froze. He had not expected anyone to come across what he was doing until the moment he felt the sting of the blade at his throat. The knife was still in his hands, a gun would have been too loud to use. 

"Drop it." Bette hissed. Henry did what he was told. Recognizing Bette’s voice he turned to face her.

“How the hell did you escape” he asked a big frown was evident on his face. The smile only made him uglier. Bette shuddered on the inside.”Anyway you were too late. I got what was mine and she enjoyed it.”

Bette saw red. She was too late. Henry used Bette’s distraction as he lunged at her. The sword fell from her hand. He folded his fist and aimed at Bette’s face but the brunette saw it coming.

She blocked his blow. Knowing now was her time to make the bastard bleed. She was relentless in her blows. She aimed at his face and didn’t stop until it was nothing but a red pulp. Henry fell to the ground.

Shane had helped a daze Tina to her feet and moved her away from Bette and Henry. The brunette bent down to pick up her sword and started for the girls’ direction.

Embarrassed and ashamed that he had been beaten by a woman. Henry scrambled for his knife and ran after Bette whose back was to him.

Tina saw Henry’s shadow running towards Bette. “Bette” she barely croaked out.

The pain was sharp. Henry’s knife pierced Bette in her back. What a coward she thought as she spun around on him. The knife fell from his hand to the ground. She used her blade slicing him on his arm, and then she elbowed him in the face. Once on his knees Bette used a powerful upward kick with her knee and knocked him down. A few of his teeth were knocked out of his mouth.

“Bette are you okay” Shane was at her side.

“Yeah” she replied feeling a little faint.

“Come let’s get out of here.”

She nodded. “Where’s Tina” she looked around and saw the blonde huddled on the ground.

“T…T…I’m sorry. I’m so sorry” for the first she was able to take the blonde fully into her arms. It was the best feeling ever. Tears ran down her cheeks. Tina clings to Bette so tightly it made breathing difficult for the brunette.
