Previously
"Bette- I’m sorry if this is sending mixed messages, but can I hug you?"
"I will take whatever messages you give me T. and yes… please." Bette smiled and she leaned into Tina.
Tina enveloped Bette in her arms and both women cried and held on for dear life.
Chapter 24
The two women sat on the beach for at least 30 min without moving or saying a word. Bette thinking about how she needed to more supportive to Tina and that probably meant separate bedrooms and no physical intimacy. Tina was thinking about how she was looking forward to their weekend away now- with no pressure and just a chance to learn more about her life and her life with Bette. Bette’s cell phone rang and interrupted their quiet moment. Bette really didn’t want to move, but she knew she had to- the call could be about Angie. She reluctantly let go of Tina and as they pulled apart both smiled at each other. Bette grabbed her phone from her pocket and saw that it was Shane.
"Hello? Hey Shane….yes everything is ok. We are just enjoying the beach. She’s up?…. ok we are gonna head home soon….no that’s ok Shane- we will be home in about an hour ok?…thanks"
"Our girl is up?" Tina asked with a smile
"Yep and wondering where her mommies are."
"So I guess we should head home?"
"Yea I guess so- even though I’m tempted to stay her and relax a little bit longer."
"I’m ok with that." Tina said softly, with that Bette laid down on the sand and encouraged Tina to lay with her. Tina placed her hand on Bette’s heart and laid he head on her chest. They fit so well together. They both knew that this weekend ahead was going to be tough, but they were both going into it carefully and very aware of the other’s feeling and emotions. They knew they both need to be patient and understanding. Eventually the ladies decided it was time to head home and take care of their daughter. Today was Thursday and they were planning to leave tomorrow afternoon on their trip. The sun was almost gone by the time they got home. Both women were exhausted, but knew they needed to be up and energetic for their young daughter. They walked and Angie immediately came running towards them.

I hope this weekend turns out fantastic for them. Maybe Tina can have one of those awesome and good time memory Bette.
I really wish Tina was a little more… understanding toward Bette. I know she’s going through a tough time, but this is push and pull to the extreme. Bette’s being really supportive, but things would work better if they had a steady forward pace rather than starts and stops. Just do what feels natural, Tina, and stop caring about everything else. But don’t jump her when you get the happy memories and then kick her when you realize you don’t really know her. It’s not cool and it’d be the kinda of behavior that would eventually break up even the strongest of relationships. Anyway, this was a great update. PPS!
I so agree with jikes. I hope the weekend goes well for B&T. Thank you PPS!!!
I don’t think Tina can help herself where Bette is concerned. She really wants to get back together. Good post.
i hope this weekend goes well for them
Thanks for the update. I hope the weekend away alone brings them closer together. I think Bette is doing an amazing job of being supportive and loving with Tina. Maybe this time away without outside interference will help her to better understand where Tina is coming from so that it won’t feel so much like she’s going from one extreme to the other. I think Tina is doing the best she can under the circumstances too. I think her memories trigger her emotions, she acts on them but doesn’t have a foundation to keep building on at this point. That has got to be really frightening. Please post again soon.
An awesome update. I hope the weekend turns out good for them and Tina remembers some great memories. Thank you for this story :)
glad to see another post…thanks
Hope they have a great weekend. This is the most difficult thing that either of them has gone thru. It is now time for some good memories. PPS

At least they are moving forward, hopefully this weekend will be just what the doctor ordered.
I hope that they discuss things and are able to work things out. Loving this story.
I’m looking forward to this weekend. Thanks for a great post!
hoping the weekend turns out the way they want… and the way we want…lol… pps
I feel for Tina. It’s not easy being her right now; she loves Bette but doesn’t remember much. And Bette is unusually ‘a saint’. Loving the story. Thk u.
loved it. Thanks! Pps
I hope so that their weekend will be superb. :o)
