You Can Always Remember What You Can Never Forget (Chap26)

Bette smiled. She loved how calm Tina made her with just a simple hand squeeze.

They get comfy on the blanket and drank down some water.

"So T- have you thought of anything you want to know about it?"

"Well that is a tough question… I want to know about everything Bette. I do have a question for you. It might be too personal, but I’m just curious."

Bette let out a laugh "Tina you are my life partner- there is no question that is too personal!" As soon as Bette said that statement she got nervous- what could Tina possibly want to know??

"Well ok- how many women have you slept with? I know I have only been with 2 right?"

"Oh wow- that is an interesting question. Well first of all you have been with 3 women including me. You dated Helena Peabody."

"Really- wow- she was at the planet right?"

"Yes she was. You dated her after we broke up the first time."

    "Oh wow- interesting."

    "Why interesting?"

"Well I guess I certainly have a type- beautiful, powerful, type A."

"Yea I guess you do. But don’t forget I won you away from Helena fair and square" Bette smiled at Tina- she felt a little uncomfortable talking about Tina and Helena’s relationship- but she was trying to feel secure and let Tina express her feelings freely.

"Ok so I’ve slept with you, Helena and that doctor?"

"Yes that is correct. But don’t forget you’ve slept with tons of guys."

"Tons uh?? Why do I feel like you are saying that so I won’t be so shocked by your number."

"haha well ok maybe you are right. Honestly I don’t know the exact number. Before we met I "dated" quite a few women."

"Dated uh? So my partner is a slut uh?"

"Mmmm I wouldn’t say that. I just appreciated a beautiful woman!  You made me change all that in one night though."

    "How did I do that?"

"I have no idea, but once we started dated I thought it wouldn’t last-I thought you would freak out and go back to men or I would get bored and break your heart, but then I kept wanting to see you and you kept wanting to see me, and then it was 7 years later."

    1. As difficult as the situation is now maybe in the long run it’s a good thing. It’s up to them to take the chance to clear the air and discuss the relationship from a new point of view. PPS.

    2. i’m glad you brought up the situation with another baby, and i’m glad B&T are taking it slow and trying to make tina remember everything

    3. Such a wonderful story. Love how hard both are fighting to get their life back on track. I do hope that if a child is produced that Bette does carry him/her.

    4. Tina comforting Bette that’s a good thing. It’s good for them to talk everything out even the hard stuff as long as they don’t let anger get in the way when Tina finds out some of the bad things they have had to work through. If Tina doesn’t get her memory back they will just have to start over again and take it from there. It will probably be hard on Bette remembering what they had but at least she will still have Tina. PPS

    5. That was so touching. This weekend away was a great idea. They’re really connecting on a deeper level. I think even if Tina didn’t get her memory back their relationship would survive because they truly love each other.

    6. Very emotional right now but necessary. Just keep them talking and Tina slowly remembering. I still want to know why she was in the car with the fellow co-worker and where they were going and why. I feel that might trigger her memory faster than anything else. Thanks for posting.
