Kate Moennig and Leisha Hailey – they were as usual pretty popular with The L Word fans and they seemed to enjoy the convention as well. Just like at L7, they brought some unique items for a Sunday auction, including Shane’s clothes and Leisha’s bass guitar.
Leisha just ended her US tour after a release of her latest album “Nocturnes” and is going on a European tour next summer after getting a booking agent there. Kate said that she did two movies earlier this year. One was an indie film “Default” about a news crew in a hostage situation; another one is called “Gone”, which is a serial killer thriller with Amanda Seyfried and Wes Bentley. She had fun working on both shows.
Leisha’s dream role is to play a cop because she wants to play with a gun. Kate will play anything that requires research because she finds satisfaction in doing days and days of research.
They both still didn’t like the breast cancer storyline and Dana’s death. It was not because the breast cancer story wasn’t important to talk about but they both feel that Ilene could have done it differently.
Leisha talked about her guest role in CSI episode where she played a woman with a lot of facial hair. She said it was itchy and took about three hours to put that make-up on but it was fun to play. As Dustin Hoffman once said that every actor should play a monster at some point in their career so Leisha thinks that role would qualify.
They both felt that there were some strong storylines on a show but not all of them were to their liking. Leisha didn’t like the last episode of the last season. They were never told who killed Jenny. Leisha thinks it was a suicide but Kate thinks that Jenny was killed but doesn’t know who did it. The main thing was that they were never given any explanation of why it was happening. It didn’t make any sense to them. They both would end the show on a positive note.

LanaRus–
