A fair warning: if there are any side remarks about the upcoming shows, they express my personal opinions and in no way should influence your decisions on what to watch.

The 2011-2012 Fall Schedule: FOX

Right now I’m very upset with FOX for canceling The Chicago Code, one of the few new shows I thoroughly enjoyed watching during last TV season. To be perfectly honest, I would watch the show even if Jennifer Beals wasn’t part of it because a) I watched at least three other shows that Shawn Ryan was involved with and I enjoyed them all very much. I’m talking about The Shield, Lie to Me and Terriers; b) I love a good and unique cop drama and The Chicago Code was good and unique…and it helped to watch strong and confident Jennifer Beals in a uniform; c) I was absolutely enthralled with Delroy Lindo as Alderman Gibbons, so sinister and charming that you didn’t know whether to hate him or admire him.

I do have to agree with The Chicago Code writers though, that we should be grateful to FOX for giving them the chance to make the show and air all 13 episodes. By the way, the finale of The Chicago Code was up in ratings for the third straight week, second in the time period, and first in all key male demos, according to Shawn Ryan. He also tweeted that they are doing everything they can to see if there’s a future for it on another network.

Here’s one final look at how good Jennifer Beals was as Teresa Colvin.
