FOX, along with ABC network, announced major cancellations a few weeks ago. Among Fox’s cancellations were The Good Guys, Lone Star (canceled after airing just two episodes), Running Wilde, Human Target, Breaking In, The Chicago Code, Traffic Lights, and Lie to Me (another cancellation that was unsettling, though not surprising).
FOX always prides itself on presenting “the most talked about, most followed, most creative shows” and this fall they are trying to keep up with this reputation by developing a fresh and creative lineup. However, it looks like FOX has a pretty full schedule as the network ordered 16 pilots and picked up six: two animated comedies, two dramas and two comedies, while bringing back seventeen of their various series.
Here’s the look at FOX 2011-2012 schedule:
MONDAY
8-9 p.m. Terra Nova
9-10 p.m. House
As Fox cancelled both its Monday shows, Lie to Me and The Chicago Code, one of their most successful shows, House, was moved to a 9 pm slot, giving space to FOX new drama Terra Nova. It qualifies as FOX big action series about an ordinary family from the future taking an extraordinary journey back to prehistoric Earth to join the colonists from Terra Nova to save the humanity. Sounds like one of these plots where the humans ruined everything in the future and someone has to go back in time and fix it. Steven Spielberg is a producer and the cast includes Jason O’Mara, Christine Adams and Stephen Lang.
In the midseason, House will move back to its original time and the 9 pm slot will be taken by a new midseason show, Alcatraz.
