She had deliberately lingered over breakfast with Tina enjoying just looking at her newest lover and taking the time to chat and find out more about the blonde. Bette knew she was hooked – she had probably known it all

    Bette arrived at work half an hour later than usual. She had deliberately lingered over breakfast with Tina enjoying just looking at her newest lover and taking the time to chat and find out more about the blonde. Bette knew she was hooked – she had probably known it all along. It had just taken what had happened the night before to confirm everything that deep down she had feared.
    James was on the phone when the door opened and Bette walked in – he looked at her and grinned. Normally she looked so serious – scarily serious in fact but there was something different about her this morning. James knew in an instant that Bette’s date with Tina had gone more than well. He cursed the boring idiot from the courier company who just wouldn’t tell him what he needed to know so he could get off the phone and start the game of the day which was obviously going to be – tease Bette so much that she ended up yelling at him. Bette smiled at him and went into her own office – James lent across to his card index of telephone numbers and with a few flicks of his fingers found the number of the florist that Bette always used – he had a feeling that she would be ordering flowers for the newest woman in her life.

    Tina sat on the sofa in her apartment just trying to come to terms with the events of the last few hours. She really hadn’t expected to spend the night with Bette, even less had she expected to be so consumed with passion that they didn’t even make an effort to get to the restaurant. Bette had been a revelation in how passionate but also how tender she had been. Tina couldn’t remember a night – let alone a first night that had been so utterly wonderful. There had been some moments when one or the other had been awkward or unsure about what to do but all in all things had been wonderful between them. Tina could see that it wouldn’t take many more repeats of the night before to get her totally and utterly hooked on Bette

    James wasn’t so unsubtle as just to walk into Bette’s office and demand a blow by blow account of her date. He got on with his duties until he had a reason to go into her office and see how soon he could steer the conversation to the night before

    2. 120 ch? Fantastic! Bring it on. We know you have it in you to write entertaining, brilliant, thought-out stories with many chapters to enjoy. I just say “The L Wing” with 328 chapters :-) Love it!

      This seems to be the week of multiple postings. I feel spoiled by you and all those other wonderful authors. Thanks for that!

      Now that Rosemary met Tina, she’ll be even more motivated to bring Bette and Tina together. I wonder what her new plan has to do with the library.
      It’s nice how comfortable Tina and Bette already are with each other. Meeting at Tina’s flat has potential for Emma dropping by unannounced.

      Looking forward for the next chapter.
