    “Well you have meetings tomorrow morning but today its blank – just you and me “

    “How are you feeling by the way – you do look much better?”
    ”I threw up for an hour or so but that seemed to do the trick – I was feeling great by 7 “

    Bette nodded “Good – I am glad to hear that – okay hand me the papers “

    Bette took the stack of papers and started working her way through them
    “So, what did you get up to last night?” he asked
    Bette ignored his question for a few seconds before looking up
    “You tell me “she challenged
    “You are late this morning “he started folding his arms and looking at his boss
    “I wasn’t aware that I had to clock in – the last time I checked it was my business “

    “You are rarely if ever late – so something must have happened or you might have had a late night – I think it’s more than likely that your date went very well and you stayed up late talking to the blonde”
    Bette smiled and went back to signing the documents that James had put in front of her.
    “Come on – I tell you everything about my dates “

    “Yes James – I have never worked out why you would have the nerve to tell your boss about all the things you get up to “
    “I like to share “he said smiling
    “Obviously “Bette replied dryly signing her name with a flourish on the last couple of documents. She glanced at one of the letters before handing them back to James
    “How did it go?” he asked her
    “” For once I would like a relationship not to be the subject of you analysing it to death”

    “So, it went well?”

    Bette nodded – she did want to talk about the night she’d had with Tina – she just wasn’t sure James was the person she wanted to be talking to about it. She might IM Helena later and give her an account of how utterly marvellous the night with Tina had been.
    “It went well “Bette confirmed unable to stop herself grinning
    “How well?”

    2. 120 ch? Fantastic! Bring it on. We know you have it in you to write entertaining, brilliant, thought-out stories with many chapters to enjoy. I just say “The L Wing” with 328 chapters :-) Love it!

      This seems to be the week of multiple postings. I feel spoiled by you and all those other wonderful authors. Thanks for that!

      Now that Rosemary met Tina, she’ll be even more motivated to bring Bette and Tina together. I wonder what her new plan has to do with the library.
      It’s nice how comfortable Tina and Bette already are with each other. Meeting at Tina’s flat has potential for Emma dropping by unannounced.

      Looking forward for the next chapter.
