The Island – Chapter 20
Bette follows the hostess through the busy restaurant. Her new friend is trailing closely behind. As she weaves around the crowded tables, she rolls her eyes at several patrons talking loudly on their cell phones. Their guests, on the other hand, stare dumbly at their own devices, probably in an attempt to look just as important. Thank God, her girlfriend stopped nagging her about getting one and rarely used hers when they were together, at least in the beginning. She shakes away the memories of evil Tina and the last few miserable months as she focuses on last night and their glorious reconnection. She feels the familiar ache and smiles, hoping the blush in her cheeks fade quickly.
Bette takes her seat and thanks the cute waitress handing her a menu. She listens intently as the daily specials are recited with great enthusiasm. She realizes she’s hungry and shifts in her seat when her stomach growls. Her day so far has been incredibly busy and this is actually her first real meal. Everything is going according to plan and she is on cloud nine with giddiness. She knows Tina is going to love her surprise. Right on cue, she feels a tingle shoot through her body. It’s an unexplained phenomenal that happens every time her girlfriend is near. She looks up ecstatic at the love of her life sauntering to her. Bette’s smile lights up her face but it quickly disappears. The look of fury in Tina’s beautiful eyes makes her instantly fear for her life.
“Bette. What are you doing here?” Tina tries to smile after making her way hurriedly to Bette and her date. She feels her heart pounding in her chest as jealousy and confusion are burning through her.
“Oh, hey T, what are you doing here?” Bette looks at her girlfriend lovingly but her stomach is jumping with worry. She stands to give her a kiss but Tina pulls away. Bette bites her bottom lip and sits back down, inching her chair closer to her lunch companion. She scoots to the edge of her seat, ready to jump to the rescue. Knowing Tina’s tendency to be cruel, this could get ugly.
“I’m having lunch with my friends.” Tina points to her table. Each one of her friends is watching with bated breath. Helena is biting vigorously on her straw.

No no no!!! This is the punishment Tina has
By leaving Helena always meddling in his
relationship with Bette. And having even discover
the truth behind the actions Helena, too late.
Tina did not yield Bette nor the benefit of the doubt.
The complete constellation.
wkm says
Tina is very dim witted not to recognize Helena was in love with her and to doubt the woman you love so much. Thanks, enjoyed it

love boodle
noun
person, who engages in uncustomary acts by way of acquiring the affections of a suitor.
– She spent her days anticipating the moment when she could take Tina into the garden shed and release her inner love boodle.
ORIGIN late Middle English
It’s a derogatory term – not sure why LP is so drawn to it…..
ally4cleo says
Oh and thanks for posting Lp. Enjoying it.
LittlePeculiar says
Ah Ally, I never meant it as a derogatory term. It’s a term of endearment I remember from my younger days, which just happens to be a very very long time ago. My apologies if it was offensive
“And one day I will find this miracle guy, and he will be my love boodle.”
Peace, Love, and Baby Ducks.
meloveslu says
HAHAHAHAHAHA! That’s hysterical. Derogatory or not, I had never heard the term. At first I thought maybe she meant “Poodle” instead of “Boodle.” Based on your research, I think I would rather be called a love poodle LOL

OOOh ! Tina !! TIna !! TINa !!! TINA !!!
Thanks for this LP Can’t wait for more ! Please, please post soon !!
Bibi28 says
Ooh shit Tina! You are one foolish woman, that was really a very dumb thing to say.
When you claim to love somebody, see her as the love of your life, you need to give them a chance to explain and what is that with that script? Is that the one those bastards were after for?
Great update! Can you please update again asap? !

Enjoyed this chapter. Can’t wait for the next one.

Quite agree with Bibi28……. why Tina listened to Helena is beyond me.

Great chapter but so very sad. Please post soon.
lipitora says
I was absolutely sure that intensifies the drama!
but Tina, it was already too much. She says, she loves Bette, but if she isn’t so confident in the love of her life, then there is big trouble.
Maybe she doesn’t deserve it.
