    The Island – Chapter 20

“I’m having lunch with my friend too.” Bette can see Tina’s anger thru her plastic Hollywood smile.

“You didn’t tell me you were having lunch with your friend.”

“You didn’t tell me you were meeting your friends either.”

“I wanted to call you but you don’t have a cell phone.”

    “I don’t like cell phones.”

    “Porter!”

“Tina Kennard, this is Stacy Kinderman. Stacy, this is my beautiful and amazing girlfriend.”

“It’s a pleasure, Ms. Kennard. I’ve heard so much about you.” Stacy stands and takes Tina’s hand. Tina blushes at Bette’s introduction, although she left out who Stacy was and probably on purpose. She smiles curiously at Bette, then furrows her brows when Bette turns her head away too quickly.

“Nice to meet you too, unfortunately, I haven’t heard a thing about you.” Tina fights to keep her teeth from clenching.

“That’s because we just met this morning. I keep no secrets from you, cupcake.” Bette says innocently. She adds a dazzling smile, hoping she can calm her girlfriend down.

“Well thank you, muffin, but I’m sure you don’t tell me everything.” Tina tries to laugh off the hurt she’s feeling. It’s killing her that Bette is keeping secrets from her.

“You know cream puff, you should get back to your friends. They seem to be missing you. I can tell by the deadly lasers shooting from their eyes.”

“Don’t be silly, pork chop. My friends love you.”

“Yes my little chicken. Helena would LOVE me to choke on my salad.”

“I’m sure you’re exaggerating, cuddle bug. But then again, not everyone falls for that Bette Porter charm. If only your would-be suitors knew how annoying and arrogant you can be.” Tina gives a fake smile to Stacy, hoping to dissuade the striking brunette from pursuing her girlfriend any further.

“Everyone finds me charming, at least those with the slightest sense of humor.” Bette chuckles.

“I happen to be very funny!” Tina defends, taking the remark personally.

“Yes my darling pickle, we’ve already established that your mother finds you very funny.”

“Maybe we should do this another time. Just call me when you’re free.” Stacy is smiling. She is thoroughly enjoying the silly yet heated exchange. It’s like an intense tennis match laced with chocolate kisses. She gets up to leave while it’s still safe.

    1. TINA,to be so in love with BETTE you doubt her at the drop of a hat. Promises comes out your mouth but dumbness creeps in your brain. Well little rich girl, you FINALLY broke the camel’s back with BETTE and it was by your own hand .HELENA had her own agenda but TINA allowed it to come between her and her girlfriend.Sorry TINA you lose for now.pps thanlks

    2. No no no!!! This is the punishment Tina has
By leaving Helena always meddling in his
relationship with Bette. And having even discover
the truth behind the actions Helena, too late.
Tina did not yield Bette nor the benefit of the doubt.
      The complete constellation.

    3. I still don’t know what a love boodle is. I gladly invite those readers who have heard it to please define it for me lol! Great chapter Little P. Can’t wait for the next.

        love boodle

        noun

person, who engages in uncustomary acts by way of acquiring the affections of a suitor.

        – She spent her days anticipating the moment when she could take Tina into the garden shed and release her inner love boodle.

        ORIGIN late Middle English

It’s a derogatory term – not sure why LP is so drawn to it…..

        • Ah Ally, I never meant it as a derogatory term. It’s a term of endearment I remember from my younger days, which just happens to be a very very long time ago. My apologies if it was offensive

“And one day I will find this miracle guy, and he will be my love boodle.”
          Peace, Love, and Baby Ducks.

        • HAHAHAHAHAHA! That’s hysterical. Derogatory or not, I had never heard the term. At first I thought maybe she meant “Poodle” instead of “Boodle.” Based on your research, I think I would rather be called a love poodle LOL

    4. Ooh shit Tina! You are one foolish woman, that was really a very dumb thing to say.

When you claim to love somebody, see her as the love of your life, you need to give them a chance to explain and what is that with that script? Is that the one those bastards were after for?

Great update! Can you please update again asap? !

    5. I was absolutely sure that intensifies the drama!
but Tina, it was already too much. She says, she loves Bette, but if she isn’t so confident in the love of her life, then there is big trouble.
      Maybe she doesn’t deserve it.
